We stayed at the Mews for a family celebration. It exceeded all our expectations! Philippa and Julian were welcoming, friendly hosts and made us all feel special! The accommodation is fantastic with well appointed bedrooms and numerous little home from home touches. We all loved feeding the pet sheep and jumping in the hot tub at the end of the...

This was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend with friends. Phillippa was a wonderful host, very welcoming and accommodating. We made full use of the hot tub and chatted regularly to the resident sheep who were so entertaining. Dovedale and Ilam were only 15 minute drive away, would advise having a road map as our sat nav always took...

Stayed at The Mews on 3rd March for 3 nights with 5 old friends for a get together. The location was lovely and easy to reach from our various starting points. The cottage was beautiful and well equipped with everything you could need. It was much nicer than we had expected, which added to our trip. The local area was...

We have visited Phillipa many times before and we decided to host our small wedding here by inviting close family and friends. We got married in Ashbourne, had afternoon tea at The Deli in Brailsford then had our evening meal at The Red lion, followed by a week in Phillipa's cottages. Everything was perfect. We will be back soon, as...

we stayed in the main house for one night B&B. As usual, it was immaculate warm, snug and very comfy. Sally Hibbert, the owner, is a lovely warm person and greeted us like old friends even though we had only stayed for 1 night 3 years ago. Breakfast was superb with a really good choice. Really loved staying here again....

Stopped at the "Old Smithy" from 24-28 October. The conversion is a converted barn which has been restored to a high standard. The kitchen has most of the items you would need and is well laid out. The main bedroom with the open plan bathroom is a lovely touch and makes the upstairs look luxurious and pretty. Phillipa, the "hostess"...

A lovely self catering barn conversion, well equipped and in a good area for access to the Dales or the Midlands. We had a great week here. The owner takes care to ensure that her guests are comfortable and the cottage is well equipped. Lovely to be adopted by the cat and also to be able to feed and get...
