My extended family and our friends have been doing an annual trip to Breezy Bay for nearly ten years. We love the rustic, funky, laid-back vibe of the place. We don't really like the typical sterile hotel-type experience, so this place is perfect for us--very casual and friendly. Our hosts, Matt and Megan and their child are a pure delight... More

My spouse and I stayed at the Breezy Bay Farmhouse cliff top campsite. It was our first time at the B&B and we had a positive experience. We would come back. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming! The overall look of the property is very much older working farmhouse, so if you have an appreciation for rustic aesthetics I... More

I traveled to Saturna Island for a weekend getaway from Vancouver. What I found was a peaceful, heritage home run by a delightful family. The B&B is the oldest building on the island, but is fantastically preserved. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy and the windows provided great views of the ocean on one side and forested property... More

Saturna is a lovely southern gulf island. Absolutely gorgeous. You will love the island. I'm sad to give this listing only two stars. The two stars are earned for the cleanliness and comfort of my room. It was a wee little room with a lovely view of a rolling meadow. The bed was firm and comfortable and the room was... More

Sorry to hear that your one night stay at Breezy Bay was not the experience you were looking for. This is a B&B, our family home and a working farm. Your comments seem to suggest that your needs would have been better served at a staffed hotel. Your stay with us was on a Saturday, the busiest day of the... More

Breezy Bay and Saturna were the highlight of our 2-week trip to Canada. We spent 2 nights there and felt like we were going back in time. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. I loved wading in the private beach, tasting blackberries, and reading in the orchard. Erin and Jamie were incredibly sweet and really wanted us to have a... More

Our family did a bike trip of the gulf islands and stayed at many places.... the most affordable place with the best service, hospitality and charm was breezy bay by a long shot! The antique house is set beautifully on a farm that is really fun to explore. The house has so much history and it would have been very... More

We stayed at the Breezy Bay in mid-August having never visited Saturna Island before. The Breezy Bay is one of the oldest houses on the island and is the center of real working farm complete with cows, miniature horses, piglets, chickens and geese, fruit orchards and a private sandy beach. There is so much charm and history in the house... More

We stayed 4 nights at this rustic retreat. The B&B is in a huge old farm house that is well over 100 years old. It is set in the centre of a working farm with cows and geese strolling about the property. The house still contains a few rooms in original condition, like the impressive library. Our room was plenty... More

The B&B is one of the original homestead farms and has been only updated to a minimum comfort level, modern bath and kitchen. It's a great place to get the feel of island living. Short walk to a pebble beach that is safe for kids to swim in, kind of a protected cove. The hosts are hired to run the... More

We stayed at Breezy Bay part of the August long weekend. There are five families living on this working farm. Erin and Jamie were our hosts in the B&B house, one of the oldest houses on Saturna. Staying here seemed like a time warp - going way back in time when people hung up their laundry, sat on the deck... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Come to Saturna Island and take a step back in time at Breezy Bay Bed & Breakfast. Our beautiful and rustic 1890's home, still a working farmhouse, is situated on a fifty acre organic farm, approximately 2km from the ferry. Our home was restored last in the 1970's keeping as much original character and charm as was possible. The evidence of its long and diverse history emanates from every room. We offer four unique guest rooms, a library, large common rooms and a breakfast sunroom for vacation getaways or longer stays. Our wholesome, gourmet breakfasts are homemade using local produce; with some ingredients coming straight off the farm. The driveway is lined with Maple, Linden, Hawthorne, Walnut Trees and century-old Lombardy Poplars for almost a furlong and the house itself is nestled amongst Orchards, Flowers, Scented Lindens, and more. A wide veranda overlooking the orchard stretches along the length of the house; an ideal environment for reading, relaxing, and/or bird-watching. Also on the property are short hikes, a pond and private beach, suited for kayak launching or sun bathing. ... more   less
