Travellers' Choice
Our Country House Hotel sits in 4 acres of rolling countryside with magnificent views over the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons. We have recently added [February 2019] the upgraded and refurbished "Country Collection" to our room stock, which are king sized, with individual designs and stunning views over the glorious Herefordshire countryside. The kitchen uses fabulous local produce on their extensive menus to create mouthwatering, freshly cooked dishes. There is a full Gluten Free menu and other dietary needs are well catered for. Plentiful free parking, hi speed broadband & a friendly team of staff make the Pilgrim the Hotel of choice for the Wye Valley & Herefordshire.

Went to this hotel for a 4-night break. Location of hotel is great with views across the valley at the back. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel throughout our stay and there was plenty to choose from on the menu. Food was good and portions generous. The staff were lovely. We went walking on the Herefordshire Trail which runs very close to the hotel, so we didn't need to use the car to get to it, which was a bonus.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean with spectacular countryside views. Restaraunt meals were excellent and well presented. Bar was very welcoming. The manageress Steph went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Other than the weak shower in the on suite, we could not fault this hotel and would highly recommend it for a quiet stay with excellent varied food choices and drinks.

Absolutely find this hotel. Grat walks from the hotel door. Dinner was included and we had an exquisite 3 course meal that was beautifully presented and delicious. Our room had fantastic views and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend if you want a quiet weekend away.

Group of six - great New Year's Eve. Fantastic food, friendly staff and excellent service. What a great location, close to a beautiful city. This is one of our best New Years - we will return. Deepak's food is superb we have all eaten far too much. And we had fireworks!!!

Stayed at the Pilgrim Hotel for the New Year celebration, great to be back celebrating after the past 18 months. The hotel overlooks the Wye Valley and well placed to visit Hereford and Ross on Wye. The staff were great so friendly and helpful, the food throughout was very good with unexpected extras such as cocktails and canopies, mince pies and scones in the afternoon. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, probably benefit from some redecorating. Four poster was unusual if creaky. The entertainment on New Year’s Eve could have been improved, the event should build throughout the evening leading to midnight, party hats and poppers. In the hour to midnight the singer gave us his Elvis tribute set, no one dancing just sitting waiting for party tunes. Shame but does not distract from the overall package that was excellent.
