Lovely people and a wonderful evening spent here. Dinner was excellent and our hosts attentive but sensitive to the need for privacy. They are both enormous fun, providing amusing asides during the evening.

Spent a week with Lisa and Kevin in October, visited with a friend and had an amazing time, Lisa is an amazing cook. The food and company each evening was very good. Can't wait to visit again. Puilaurens is a beautiful place so much to do from the area

This was a return visit (for me) to La Folie for birthday celebrations with a friend. Lisa and Kevin made both of us extremely welcome as soon as we drove up, and had already prepared a delicious meal for us. They helped us out with route maps/instructions for the places we wanted to visit whilst there. (This is an excellent...

A bed &a breakfast run by an enthusiastic and fun English couple. Everywhere in the house was spotless and comfortable. It is a great place to stay when walking The Cathar Way. The view of Puilaurens Castle at night is stunning.

La Folie, located in a village of 300 souls just an hours drive from Perpignan airport, is a million miles away from the stresses of modern life. Lisa and Kevin are perfect hosts, providing comfortable accommodation and an excellent breakfast. They also offer evening meals with a focus on local produce, food and wine. We were told that La Folie...

We spent a month in the area, staying in 21 different places, and La Folie was the best chambre d'hote we stayed in. Kevin and Lisa were delightful hosts; we had such a lovely time. The room was nicely decorated and the bath modern & sparkling. And the food! Lisa served us the best meal we had during our entire...

During our walk of the Sentier Cathar my wife and I were fortunate enough to find space at La Folie. The charming chambre d'hote is located just above an old mill stream which is iery beautiful. The food was the best on the entire journey and our hosts were very kind, considerate and engaging.

I was recommended to this place by a friend. What a delight it is! Excellent value, utterly charming. It is situated in the middle of rural France in a small quiet village, but that adds to its charm. If you are driving to Spain, it can make an overnight stop as it is between Carcassone and Perpignon , if a...

A very comfortable place to stay after several days on the Cathar Way. Our hosts were attentive and caring and the food was just magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble and conversation was bi-lingual on the second evening when we were joined by 2 French couples whom we'd met earlier on the trail. Lisa's food was amazing, the veggie options...

This delightful place is run by an ex-pat English couple, very friendly and out-going. The room is very comfortable, spacious bathroom, nice shared sitting room, sound of a stream - and songbirds coming in through the window. Wakers invited me to have cocktails with them before dinner, on the upstairs deck, then we adjourned for a well-prepared dinner (which I...
