Was staying local to The Plough do it made sense to sample the food one evening. The interior of the pub is beautiful and the food was amazing, service could have been a lot quicker but excellent overall. Would highly recommend this pub if you are passing.

My wife and I were invited to stay here with friends on a short walking trip at nearby Ingleborough. We were greeted by friendly and efficient staff, the room ("Redmond") was clean and spacious with plenty of closet space, a dvd/tv, hot drinks, bottled water and a very large comfy bed. The view out to the back garden was charming but...

I visited the Plough with my family for a 60th birthday meal and overnight stay. It was one of the most amazing places I've stayed in. The service really stood out. The decor was lovely. The range of food and wine was excellent.

We had a very enjoyable first visit to the plough. Staying in the very spacious Torsin suite, it certainly didn't disappoint and was very comfortable with a bathroom bigger than most bedrooms it was a very pleasurable experience. Being at the front of the hotel and so close to the road there was noticeable traffic noise, so take some earplugs...

Visited here with friends for lunch. I started with soup which to be honest was a bit tasteless and then I chose the fish and chip (or should I say 4 chips) Although the fish was fine the chips were a joke and they weren't that good - as though they don't believe in a good old fashioned nosh up....

After an amazing 9 mile hike around and on Farelton Fell ( highly recommended) we arrived back at The Plough ready for rest, relaxation and good food. We had reserved a table for our group of 12 after a friendly chat with the very welcoming landlady. Our table was set and looked attractive. In fact the whole place has a...

We booked last minute- the night before. We'd always fancied staying here after passing numerous times in our way to the lakes. Had to wait a while to book in- but warm welcome and informative introduction. We booked the Hutton suite. First impressions were good - large bedroom with a really good sized king sized bed. Massive bathroom with a...

We have just spent a couple of nights here on a special "Dine and Stay" rate offered during the post Christmas period. It was exceptional value. We stayed in the Bellingham Suite, which was very well appointed and spacious. Very comfortable super King sized bed and luxurious bedding, a very nice separate lounge area and a bathroom to die for....

We stayed here 1 night with a couple of friends. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. I wish we had stayed at least another night as I felt we didn't get the benefit of the accommodation. The bathroom was also large with a double shower and free standing bath. We arrived early Friday afternoon and after freshening up we...
