I went to the Lodge and stayed for three days. I had the best experience. The lodge was good, the food excellent and the tours arranged were awesome. I would recommended. The staff is very friendly. I would suggest to read the information booklet left in the room, as hot water was an issue that I read in a previous...

This is a comfortable lodge with everything that you need. There is a bar and a room game. The swimming pool open until everybody go to sleep. The food is no so variable, because you are in the middle of the jungle. But it is not bad. There is a swimming pool with a toboggan. The rooms are big and...

Hi Gigi, thanks for your nice comments. I usually go to the bathroom JUST BEFORE leaving on the tours. That way I can 'hold on' until coming back several hours later. There is a toilet cabin in Pirahna Park if the need does arise. Best regards, Peter Schneider, Owner, Amazon Rainforest Lodge, Momon River, 23km from Iquitos

An amazing experience, could not recommend highly enough! Sleeping in a room with one wall missing has never been so much fun! Ines our guide could not have been sweeter, kinder or more helpful! Boat trip up the Amazon, hiking through swamps, visiting the local shamen, climbing the tower - too many highlights to mention!

Hi Carol, I am so glad that you had such a wonderful time in the Amazon. However, I do have one question: ALL 30 of our bungalows have 4 walls and large windows. When you say that one WALL was missing I don't quite follow you. Are you sure you were at the Amazon Rainforest Lodge on the Momon River?...

This is a beautiful location, the cabins were average, but good enough for me for being in the jungle, not run down by any means, just basic. Loved the food served every day, wish I could recreate it here. Take the hikes and boat rides out with guides when you can, pack your bug spray, and rent some rubber boots...

Hello Zen Mama! Many thanks indeed for your comments that are spot on. We do not pretend to be a 'luxory' or a 'boutique hotel', we just want your stay to be as comfortable as possible with all the creature comforts. By the way we provide a whole range of different sizes of Wellington boots for your treks to the...

This could probably be a great jungle lodge if the owner was around. The hotel is run by the staff, who don't seem to care much about the guests, and a manager who receives complaints 24/7. Infrastructure is excellent, but it's not taken care of. A rusty and empty jacuzzi, dirty pool, run-down rooms with torn curtains, unacceptable bed sheets,...

Hello Jamaica, many thanks for your comments. So sorry that you got such a bad impresson of the lodge. It is not easy to keep it in 100% ship shape with all the constant heavy rain, humidity and high temperatures. I purposely built the lodge with materials from the forrest and NOT concrete which YES would stay in perfect shape...

This lodge was really good considering you are in the rainforest, maybe 40 minutes away from Iquitos by boat. You will have restricted energy (green initiative), wi-fi (just on the dining room), hot water and TV cable, these is enough for anyone that is looking for some adventure and not to be disconnected at all. The room was ok; constructed...

Hello ARL, Many thanks for your long and chatty comments. I am pleased to tell you that since you wrote your note we are changing all the curtains in all the bungalows. Also we have a full set of Wellington boots at the entrance for the guests (courtesy). I am so glad that you had such a good time and...

My mother and I were booked to come to this Lodge by our tour guide (another story altogether - watch this space!). Our first clue should have been the completely ramshackle bus that came to collect us, but we took this is the spirit of things. We arrived at the Lodge which at first glance seemed lovely. We were excited...

We stayed at this lodge by accident, after the booking company made a mix up with the reservation. We had planned to stay somewhere that was a bit more disconnected from the world, but ended up with one that has the longest waterslide in the Amazon. After the initial disappointment, we were extreamly happy that this lodge was not as...

First thing is be prepared to pay in advance. We did not realise this as Pacarama who we booked through, did not tell us. Our guide was good and tried to tailor our two day stay to suit us. We did not want the standard tours of the zoos and butterfly farms, as we could do that in the UK....
