I spent 12 days at Refugio Altiplano and loved the experience. The ceremonies and shamans are very professional. The huts well maintained and spacious. The food and overall ambiance is outstanding. I highly recommend the retreat.

I was ready to give up on life, happiness and the ability to have a stable, loving relationship. I left Refugio a better, stronger, happier version of myself. A self that was there all along but was deeply repressed. I would recommend Refugio to anyone. Kelly was amazing, Mel was a joy the shaman were experienced and I felt like...

I stayed at refugio for 1 month. From the moment I arrived I felt safe and supported by the shamans and staff. I was desperate for healing with 2 years battling severe adrenal fatigue and hormone imbalance. I had tried many western and alternative medicines before this but nothing helped. Jose was very caring and compassionate towards my condition and...

Great people, great staff. The service is very good, the stay is like being in 5 star hotel in the middle of no where. Rooms are very well established and having running water that is carried daily is such a blessing, same for drinkable water. The food is excellent, very healthy with lots of flavor. People make sure to serve...

Nothing compares to Refugio. Love, compassion and a desire to heal everyone who looks their way makes the difference from the minute you get picked up. There couldn't be a more beautiful refuge, not paved and manicured like your western life but truly in the planet's most remarkable nature as the Ayahuasca experience should demand. As you should demand from...

Highly recommend as the best healing retreat I have ever participated in. No need to go anywhere else! A life changing experience with full care and support from facilitators, shamans and staff. A great opportunity to be with like-minded people who are also there to expand their self awareness and personal healing abilities. Saving to return soon!

My experience left much to be desired. The "medicine" didn't really do a lot for me. I drank 4 times and only felt anything from it the 3rd time, after having 2.5 cups... Which they'd recommended against. The shaman said there was a blockage and that it had lifted after the 3rd ceremony and the 4th time would work very...

I will keep this brief. Great place, great people, great shaman and great ayahuasca. The retreat really is well managed and ran like clockwork the whole time I was there, which was for an immersion program of 14 ceremonies. The lodging is not exactly luxurious but being in the middle of nowhere it was very comfortable considering this and with...

We just completed an invaluable 7 day stay at Refugio. The Shamans Jose and Horatio are very special people who are experienced and committed to the ayahuasca healing process, and the extended immersion in the beautiful setting of Refugio really helped the process, including through the sauna, botanical garden visit, afternoon swims and tasty, simple and healthy food. We were...
