Pen Derw situated in idyllic North Wales is the friendlies, cleanest best value bed and breakfast I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. Mick and Val treated me like one of the family ,the cooking was fantastic and I can recommend this for anyone who wishes to stay in a quite location set in a breath-taking landscape and within...

Booked the Pen Derw for 2 nights as part of Mick Extance Kawasaki experience for my husbands birthday. Such a warm welcome from Val & Mike. Spacious, comfortable bedrooms with en-suite, TV, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, homemade cake and fresh milk. You could have turned up there in just your clothes as everything had been thought of and...

We booked the Pen Derw Bed and Breakfast as part of our Mick Extance Kawasaki Experience. As many have said before; homemade cake, fresh milk, tea and coffee, a bowl of sweeties and a very warm welcome from Val and Mike. The rooms were spacious with a TV, WiFi, great big comfortable bed and en-suit bathroom. Breakfast was superb, with...

We could not fault the stay at Pen Derw Bed and Breakfast for the one night. Mike and Val were excellent hosts except they explained that they were 'retiring' from the B & B side of their business - quite a disappointment as would have loved to have stayed another time when visiting the area. All I can say is...

Fresh milk, homemade cake, fresh flowers, a bowl of sweets, a warm welcome, a great breakfast, and a comfortable bed - what more could you possibly want from a B&B? Mike and Val were also so accommodating with our wet gear. A wonderful place to stay!

My second stay at Pen Derw was as good as the first. Went both times for an overnight stay before a Mick Extance off road enduro bike day. Can recommend without hesitation. Mike & Val are excellent hosts, the room is comfortable, everything is very clean, and the breakfast is exceptional ("do you want duck or chicken eggs on the...

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this homely B&B as we were attending the Urdd Eisteddfod in Bala. Mike and Val made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Bedroom and ensuite were clean with plenty of fresh towels. There was homemade cake provided in our room on arrival along with other, sweets biscuits and coffee/tea...
