Myself and some friends were up at Thredbo for the weekend and after a bush walk up to Charlotte Pass wanted somewhere to stop for lunch. We managed to get a table here and I am glad we did. Great honest food, amazing fresh produce, well presented and delicious. This teamed with friendly service and an open fire makes this...

What a lovely place to stay, the rooms are small, yet cosy and comfortable - more in line with charming 'old school' style accomodation rather than luxurious and modern. The food and wines on offer are truly very good, we are seriously considering booking again for a skiing holiday - looking forward to some more of the wonderful duck that...

Jodie is daughter of the late Len Evans, renowned Sydney restauranteur, and with her brother Toby runs the Crackenback farm. This wonderful homely, cosy building is filled with the memorabilia of a famous Australian hospitality family, including a dinner menu attended by the late Malcolm Fraser when PM and an English pub sign featuring a kangaroo and joey. In this...

Dinner and breakfast- we will be remembering and salivating over it for a long time to come! Scrumptious and beautifully prepared! Our host was exceptionally accomodating, professional yet friendly. The rooms in this hotel a really cramped and not to standard. But the food what you get served during dinner is excellent. So this dinner makes it good to stay. Breakfast was also OK. If we would go back ? For dinner yes. For stay overnight no.

After a long drive up from Sydney it was lovely to be welcomed so warmly by Jodie and her staff, and made instantly at home. The guesthouse is cosy and comfortable with lots of character. There is lots to do locally, and Toby was on hand with great advice on interesting places to go and routes to take. Crackenback is...

We had one night to stay in Jindabyne on our recent trip to that beautiful town set on a lake in the Snowy Mountains and we didn't want to waste it. So at about 3pm pulled off the road, got out my trusty iPhone and looked up accommodation in Jindabyne. Most had three stars, but my wife and I wanted...

We spent three nights at this little gem of an establishment from December 6 until the morning of December 9, to celebrate our 31st. wedding anniversary. Our faith in the reviews was not misplaced. We consider ourselves to be well travelled but not travel snobs. I can honestly say that Jodie Evans, the owner manager and her brother are unmatched...

First off, location, location, location - best if you have a car. Halfway between Thredbo and Jindabyne, you can do shopping for food, outdoor wear and eat in less pricey restaurants in Jindabyne without being stuck with overpriced tourist traps in Thredbo. Also, if you don't like being trapped with a whole bunch of other tourists, this option is great....
