Hotel reception was friendly, rooms nice, although couldn’t initially work out the air conditioning this sorted with some help. Central location was great. There was a bit of a muddle on the restaurant booking but that was resolved. Breakfast was great too

I’ve stayed here before & it was a bit run down but after leaving today the hotel appears to have had a comprehensive make over It was obviously a very historic building in days gone by Staff were beyond helpful Free parking in the adjacent car park Lovely breakfast Nice clean room with bath - looked like new mattress & bedding Tea & coffee facilities more than adequate My daughter joined us for breakfast & they didn’t charge - nice touch The location is very central to all the bars restaurants & sights Bristol has to offer I highly recommend staying here if price service & location are your priorities

Grand is definitely the way to put it, massive hotel with the comfiest beds. Valentina was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations for venues around the area. Speaking of the area, it is dead central and the Dirty Martini is right round the corner. Will definitely stay here again!

Me and my husband took a trip to Bristol to get some shopping done and stayed the night here. Peter at reception was very informative and nice. The room was a little cold which is why I've removed a star but apart from that it was a lovely night

My colleagues and I stayed on a Sunday night for business. The booking was made through our corporate travel provider and I specifically requested a quiet room. . Unfortunately, our stay coincided with their staff Christmas party (not that I begrudge this and acutely aware how challenging the last few years have been for the hospitality sector. Unfortunately, no one advised us of this party during booking or on arrival so we could have made an informed decision. Loud disco music was playing until the early hours and party goers were congregating loudly outside on the side street. If you want to be kept awake by the Macarena playing repeatedly or inebriated staff this may be just the hotel for you….. compounding the lacklustre experience, breakfast wasn’t great, food barely warm and the place generally looks very tired. There are much better options in Bristol.
