A quick coffee before venturing into Clifton for some shopping. Although it was close to lunchtime, service was great. Prices were a bit steep though - is £7.50 for two cappuccinos good value? Maybe if we'd had a view of the bridge but we were at the back of the bar.

I stayed at the Avon Gorge Hotel for one night with my wife as I was attending my Granddaughters engagement party. I stayed on a bed and breakfast arrangement. The room that I stayed in with my wife was very good. It was clean and the facilities were excellent It was also quite large and very comfortable. The cost of...

I took my mum for afternoon tea previously here which was excellent but on this occasion we had lunch here. The fish dish was lovely with a nice accompanying sauce. My food was also tasty and well presented. Efficient, friendly staff and beautiful view of the Clifton suspension bridge made it a day to remember.

Well what a disappointment, this hotel needs a total refurb, the staff need some kind of leadership. Stayed the weekend with family, overall we paid in excess of a grand, but not for a grand hotel, of which it once was. Saturday eve dinner for 22 of us, wasn't the best, some food had to go back overcooked to be...

This hotel made a change from the usual modern , beside the motorway hotel i usually stay in, (however having said that was only 5-10 minutes from the M5). Grand old building, which i found quite quirky , had to travel up and down several small sets of stairs down the narrow passsageways to the room on the third floor,...

Great views, next to Bristol Suspension Bridge, great outside dining perfect when whether permits with the great views. Rooms okay, room hot for me, creaky floorboards, an older hotel. Parking on a steep hill next to side hotel, limited spaces. Do provide other on street parking at reception as required. I would say great to visit, enjoy views, dining but...

Great views of the bridge from our room. Ok bar is pricey but it's Clifton prices went out for a business function a great night out then came back to hotel and to bed our room was next to lift. But our headboard was next to lift shaft and the constant engine noise throughout the night kept us both awake...

This hotel has the opportunity to be the best in Bristol but at the the moment I'm afraid it really does fall short. Many of the staff seem depressed and management should gather everyone together for some retraining, motivation and encouragement. We had booked a garden room however and we were sent down (through many many corridors) to what I...
