We stayed here for a friend's wedding. They were also staying in the same place so we could all meet for breakfast the next morning. The room we had was exceptionally clean, with a big shower and big bath tub. The sheets were fresh and everything from wine to water to a mini bar and hamper basket equipped with snacks....

We stayed for a couple of nights over Easter. We arrived early and left our luggage whilst we explored Bristol and searched out a few of the Banksy art pieces, at check in we mentioned this is what we were going to do and the lady printed out a map for us of the Banksy locations and left it in...

We stayed overnight for a family wedding and not only were the rooms lovely but the staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived, slightly stressed. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the attitude of the staff to us as a family group couldn't have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend Number 38.

What a fab hotel. The best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted. The full English was amazing as well. We had the complimentary afternoon tea in our room which was gorgeous. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. The views are delightful. If you haven't stayed here before please do so soon. It is so worth it.

Lovely place. Very accommodating staff. Room was large. Adjoining bathroom with shower and soaking tub. Everything immaculate. Missed breakfast. Came down late and was offered warm croissants coffee or tea, butter and jam. So nice.

We stayed here on our wedding night as a special 'treat' and weren't disappointed! Gorgeous decor and delicious breakfast served in our room the following day. Staff were polite and friendly and the views both ways are stunning (this is coming from a Bristol local!).

Had a standard room for 2 nights. The room was very well equipped and the bathroom facilities good with lovely toiletries. Friendly staff who were very helpful, bringing us an iron etc. They also made a large table available to our party of friends for breakfast on the Sunday. Breakfast was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. My husband left...

Several of us stayed here over the week-end and we were very pleased with our choice. The standard of decoration is high and in good order. The room we had was down two flights of stairs and came with great views over Bristol and a comfortable bed. The staff were charming and the freshly prepared breakfasts were very good indeed....

Situated opposite the Clifton Downs and only 5 mins walk from the Spire Hospital ideal as our daughter was in there overnight. This hotel is beautifully decorated. Our room was very comfortable, scrupulously clean with all the amenities you would expect including high quality toiletries. Breakfast was outstanding a full range of healthy food, extensive choice of cold and hot...

What a beautiful place! We stayed in room 7, the decor was pure class - perfect for a night away. Everything about the stay was relaxing, especially the option to have breakfast in bed delivered (which was delicious). I've read in previous reviews about parking issues, but did not experience this. There was always a space along the road outside,...
