Located just off the Clifton Triangle, The Clifton Hotel is only a stones' throw away from Bristol Unversity, and Whiteladies Road, with its eclectic mix of bars and restaurants. Just below the hotel in a vaulted wine cellar, you'll find the lively and much-loved Racks Bar & Kitchen, where guests can also make use of its new outdoor heated terrace, The Pavillion. Boasting an exceptional location, competitively-priced overnight parking, and situated right in the heart of the action, The Clifton Hotel is a firm favourite for those looking to make the most of their stay in Bristol.
Clean & tidy room, with no complaints. Friendly staff & a very pleasant experience. Thank you to the Clifton hotel & all the staff I met, during my short stay. I enjoyed my experience & getting to know the area.

Then best thing about this place was the front desk staff… (who were the best we had all trip!!!). The room had paint falling off the walls, a half broken bed, a clogged shower head and the thinnest windows stuffed with toilet paper. Sound from outside was loud and late, drunken kids screaming from the bar below. Lots of bugs in the room (spiders and such). Honestly quite disappointed. There was not even enough room to open a single suitcase on the floor or store more than one in the room. Room is just big enough for a bed. They offer coffee and room service through an app… that didn’t work the entire time. Honestly please spend your money elsewhere

Nice room, good (English) breakfast. Location in Clifton, near Clifton Suspension Bridge, is top, in walking distance. Found a very good restaurant: Côte Brasserie The Mall 27. The Clifton Hotel has his own parking garage in short distance (10£/day&night).

Staff friendly & helpful (Libby & Miguel). Room was basic but no complaints at the price. Clean and tidy is all we needed and it was. Also many thanks for the extended parking on check out day. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Kev & Shelley.

A lower budget hotel, but not as poor as worried about. If remember you get what you pay for, then perhaps we got a little more value. The double room was in the roof, which gave great views over parts of the city, if stood on tiptoe to see out the window. Glad we didn't have a cat with us, as no way was it going swinging in the available space, but you can bring a dog. Appreciating all we really want is a bed for the night and somewhere to clean and wash, then this delivered. tea and coffee facilities in room, including cafetiere and fruit. a TV and mini-bar (inaccessible as the TV and table it rests on screwed down in front of the fridge in order to squeeze everything in). some hooks for coats etc on the wall would be nice. overall, just too cramped and too much squeezed into the room. Bed comfy. clean (although our bathroom bin hadn't been emptied from previous guest, merely an oversight corrected when we let reception know).…

Great location, quiet street and close to the city centre, museum, and lots of shops/cafes/restaurants. The room was very reasonable price, clean, tidy, quiet and had everything I needed for a comfortable night and morning - exactly what I wanted for a one night stay in Bristol. Loved the large windows that opened on to the quiet street. The staff were very welcoming and checked me in and out quickly and without any hassle. Would stay there again.

The staff in the Clifton were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable with everything I needed to hand and I also thoroughly enjoyed my breakfasts. The hotel's location was ideal and proved to be a short taxi ride or walking distance from tourist areas in Bristol

Pleased to have found this - would definitely stay again - good value, spotlessly clean, efficient and friendly staff. Room included a small complementary fruit bowl, and a mini-bar (quite expensive). Room not large, but comfortable and well-equipped. I found the wifi good. It's in a nice area - excellently located for University of Bristol. Loads of local cafes etc. The best station for it is Clifton Down, which connects from Bristol Temple Meads. It's only a few minutes walk from that (whereas 20 minutes or so walk from Temple Meads).

Hotel is clean and well-equipped. Checked in at 7.30 pm after travelling down to Bristol from Reading and asked the duty receptionist if I could use the laundry service as I had been travelling and had some dirty clothes. She was unsure and advised me to ask the daytime receptionist. Was then informed that there was a reciprocal agreement with another hotel where I could use their washing machine. I mean seriously, I had been travelling and had dirty laundry and I was being led to believe that I had to wash and press my own clothes? Next morning, I did just that and again more confusion but finallyTom the receptionist gave me a bag and a list to complete, and I handed my laundry in. filled in the form asked for laundry service and clothes folded. Got the laundry back the next day, socks and pants in a big white box, shirts on hangers despite my request for folded shirts. 3 shirts, 6 boxers, 1 polo shirt and 3 pairs of socks. £61.40……ridiculous What got me was that hotel staff were unsure about the dry cleaning / laundry service despite that fact that it is listed on the AGODA website and there is a leaflet in the room advertising the same. Surely this is a management issue? Biggest gripe is that a single room is very small, hamster-like and as I needed to work from the desk with my laptop, I had to clear the desk and put the tray with the tea, coffee, etc. in the wardrobe. Walls are super thin so you can hear what is being said next door and as the doors are close together when next door slams their door your room shakes. Very high-water pressure in the bathroom so high the shower head would not stay in the bracket. Breakfast in Racks on the lower floor £15 if not pre-booked so did not bother. Dinner in Racks very good, nice ambience to enjoy a dink with dinner and decent background music playing. Internet not so good prone to freezing. Checked out went to settle the laundry bill but payment already taken. Was an experience but not again. …

Hi Carl, Thank you very much for taking your time to leave us a review. As small business, your feedback is very important to us. We are sorry to hear that your had some issues with your laundry, unfortunately we do not offer any laundry services. We are always happy to assist our guest with any external needs that it is the reason why the team was trying their best to help you offering an external company for laundry for a higher price or they even offered you the opportunity to use a cheaper option from another business of our company. For those who enjoy the extra space, we recommend to book a double or king size. The maintenance issues have been chased, feel free to report this while you are in house next time so we can sort it for you at the time. I have passed your comments about breakfast to our restaurant team as this is additional to the hotel. We are glad to hear that your enjoyed your dinner. As mentioned, laundry services are from an external company which means, this needs to be paid at the time. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not a positive one, but hoping to turn the next one into a great one. All the best The Clifton Hotel
