Stayed here over night prior to joining a cruise ship at Avonmouth. Booking and finding the hotel was easy, however note that the kitchen is not manned on Sunday Night, but good sandwiches and soup were available. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast good quality and quantity. Hotel is a period house, with modern facilities in the rooms. We...

All in all pretty darn good. Pro's The staff really are a fantastic bunch, it certainly seems like a happy work working environment. The food, definitely not the usual crowd pleasing, safe, bland offerings that I've become used to in this price bracket - the chef is making a real effort here! It's obviously rubbed off on the waiting staff...

Nice hotel. Room are spacious and nice. I liked the big mirror in the bathroom. Staff was nice and helpful and food was fine. Not too many beer types, if you are a beer drinker. I did enjoyed the stow fire. Free and easy parking. I totally recommend it.

Single traveller staying for a Saturday night for business purposes but did choose this hotel. Hotel not too difficult to find. Very friendly welcome by reception staff, even carried my suitcase upstairs!! Large room, bit outdated but had a very modern bathroom with digitally controlled shower, just needed more pressure. Extremely comfortable bed. Good selection for breakfast. Apparently hotel was...

All the hotels in Cardiff were full on our visit there recently because of the rugby so we decided to stay en-route for the night. We looked at the map and hotels with the best reviews on Tripadvisor and that is why we found ourselves at the Henbury Lodge Hotel. Being well situated just off the M5, this enabled us...

I've stayed here many times and on most occasions my stay has been fine. I never use the restaurant but bar and bar food is always ok. My more recent stay was some what noisy, being honest. Room 2 is just up the stairs from the main reception. Lovely room with re fitted bathroom. The issue you will have, as...

We chose Henbury Lodge for a family function as it was a geographically central location, the decision to book was based on favourable reviews and a telephone conversation with Roz the owner who sounded very professional and understanding of our requirements. On arrival we soon discovered that we had made the right decision, the rooms were large, comfortable and well...

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we enjoyed both times. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very warm helpful and welcoming. The breakfast are delicious with home-made jams and yoghurt which really do taste special. The dinning-room overlooks a pretty garden. Our bedroom was clean, modern and very quiet and the...
