We stayed here two nights. Our room was in the second building up several flights of stairs with no lift - a problem if you had heavy luggage. A bit of a concern should there have been a fire below us as the only exit was back down the stairs as there was no other means of escape? The room...

My husband and I booked a room for 2 nights while we were in Bristol for The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. The first room was downstairs under reception (room 204), we didn't sleep all night it was so noisy, which was a shame as we had to be up at 5am as we had a hot air balloon trip booked...

Well I have read all the half-hearted reviews for this hotel but you really can't expect five star luxury for the prices they are charging. Having said that, I came on a visit to Bristol with my elderly mother and was delighted with the place. The staff (particularly Annexe) were extremely helpful and friendly; we were upgraded to a larger...

We stayed in block 2 at the Victoria hotel, check was very quick and staff very good, our room was ready before 2pm they allowed us to check in early for our 2 night stay. We found the hotel had good points and not so good points, room a family room was a good size, the beds comfortable, good tea...

A very dated, tired sort of place. Pleasant staff and pleasant location. We were give a £10 refund for a leak in the bathroom which felt grimy. The doors were so ill-fitting that you might as well have not had any. Not delighted with a buffet style breakfast- a little bit like a service station. No extras at all -...

Despite having been in contact with the hotel prior to arrival to inform them our party of 8 was arriving with bikes, and assurred this was OK, we were met by an unfriendly reception staff member, who couldn't have been more unhelpful about their storage. The reception staff next morning couldn't have been more helpful! The rooms were of good...

One night stopover. Taking into account the reasonably priced room rate stay was still disappointing. Yes I agree it's dated and desperately needs decorating and improving, that's acceptable at price but it didn't seem very clean. Breakfast was very nice but tepid, kept in heated dishes that weren't very hot not sure how this is for food hygiene regulations? Reception...

This is a very traditional English hotel in the best sense of the words. We were visiting Bristol to attend the University's Open Day with our 17 year old son. The hotel had a suitable room for the three of us to share which was comfortable, clean and with all the facilities we needed. The breakfast was excellent. The staff...

I have stayed here before and have reviewed it before. It is great. In a very nice square in Clifton, with some large rooms. It is not disabled friendly in all rooms so make sure you ask for level access if you need it - as it is listed, many of the rooms are up stairs with no lifts. Our...

Lovely clean comfortable hotel but there are steps involved so for people with mobility issues, it may not be well suited. Further, there is no air-conditioning but they do provide fans. Very delicious hot buffet breakfast but would advise you reserve with breakfast upon booking at £5.
