We purchased a one night stay via a Groupon deal which included 3 course meal, Prosecco and breakfast to celebrate our 20 year anniversary.
The entrance to the hotel is tucked away behind a redevelopment of older buildings giving it some seclusion from the main hustle and bustle of the main streets.
The exterior and interior of the buildings are very well presented and modern and provides a spacious feeling.
The room was lovely, I particularly liked the modern art on the walls. Clean, comfortable and with available facilities.
We were greeted by Chloe and we’re well informed of where we would find the restaurant, bar and how to access our rooms and she brought our Prosecco to our room.
The restaurant had limited mains choices for my personal tastes but enjoyed my selection, the staff were extremely helpful (Paul & I forgot the other ladies name) and very friendly.
Unfortunately we didn’t try the breakfast as planned as we decided to sleep in.
There is no parking directly adjacent but near by (as locals we Uber).
Very close to the slaking shopping areas and Temple Meads station.

Lovely warm welcome on arrival, the guy on reception was super friendly and knowledgable about the area. Check in was quick and efficient.
Room was very well equipped with tea and coffee tray, air conditioning, mini fridge etc. 2 beds, one king size and 1 large single, very comfortable and choice of pillows. Very quiet despite the proximity to the road, you could not hear a thing either indoors or out.
Bathroom was spacious with enormous shower. Although the window does not open we found leaving the aircon on in the day left the room a cool temperature to sleep in later on.
Breakfast buffet was delicious, lots of hot and cold choices replenished regularly and machines to make your own hot drinks. Plenty of staff clearing and sanitising tables.
We parked in Broadmead NCP only 5 mins walk, which was really straightforward you just take a ticket on entry and park up. You must take your ticket with you and not leave it in the car because you need to swipe it to gain entry back into the pedestrian entrance on departure. You then ask for a discount ticket at Hotel Reception. When you depart and pay at the car park you swipe the original ticket, then the hotel discount ticket and it immediately brings the cost down to £14 per 24 hours. Bristol parking is expensive so this didn’t seem too bad.
So an excellent stay. Only 2 minor things I would change. First I would have liked a bar of soap in the bathroom ( we had a tiny bottle of shampoo instead??) Secondly the hotel website, and then later the invitation email to check in online, both said that breakfast was continental and delivered to room. So we didn’t book it, but then paid for it on arrival once we discovered it was a proper buffet. Maybe the information should be updated.

Hotel is lovely, very comfortable clean and spacious rooms, nice decor throughout. My room also had a fridge and a safe along with good quality hand soap , shower gel and shampoo, there was also a bottle of moisturiser. Staff were lovely and helpful. Ate in the restaurant each night and found the food to be good but not anything particularly special but it was tasty and well presented, the breakfast was excellent however, top quality and plenty of choice. The bar area is nice to relax in in the evenings. The only thing let’s this place down is car parking, or rather the lack of it, there is a car park right outside which I thought was handy but apparently you can’t use this and you have to go to an ncp public one across the other side of Cabot circus, it’s 5-10 mins walk, not ideal in bad weather and carrying work lap tops and equipment etc . They do have a discount but even with this it costs £14 a night to park, so as nice as it is, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone on business there who needs to use a car but if you want a nice hotel in Bristol and your coming on public transport I would definitely recommend as a nice place to stay

Good Morning omahony, Thank you very much for your stay and for taking the time to leave a review, we are so glad to know that you found our hotel and its décor to be lovely, the rooms to be spacious, clean and very comfortable, the dinner and breakfast served to be of top quality, and our staff to be really helpful throughout your stay! We’re really sorry to learn though, that you were unhappy with the parking. This is a good clean modern hotel, well located for the Marble Factory & a short walk into town. A large car park is about 5 minutes walk away and costs about ÂŁ13 for 24 hours.

Our room was one of the larger ones. The view is over a building site (much of Bristol is being built up at the moment). The only criticism of the room was the bed was a bit too on the firm side. On the positive side, some snacks in the fridge were included as was sparkling & still bottled water. Staff were friendly but there could have been more on reception.

The only reason this is a 4* review is that the price felt a little high for a night's stay at ÂŁ179 a night excluding parking & breakfast. It was a pleasant hotel but the price feels a bit too high for the quality / services available.

My husband and I stayed at the Leonardo Glassfields Hotel at the start of July. We have never been to Bristol but had been recommended some places to go and visit from some friends who had been before.
The hotel was in a perfect location to walk to all of the places we had been recommended. It was super close to Temple Meads train station, where you can get a quick train in to Bath for the day which was lovely. The hotel was also close to plenty of places to eat and drink, it was about 10-15mins walk to harbourside and the Welsh back which is ideal!
The hotel itself was really new modern and clean, each morning we had breakfast in the hotel where we had access to tea and coffee from the machine, the bread was all individually wrapped which I also liked and then you were served up from the hot breakfast buffet.
The room was a great size, clean, well decorated and had all of the amenities you could ask for: tea, coffee, kettle and a mini fridge.
The staff were very friendly and were working really hard, one of the nights we were there it was the Euros and England were playing so the hotel bar was packed. The staff worked really hard to get round all of the guests and worked really efficiently to keep everyone safe and most importantly topped up on their drinks!
I would definitely stay here again in the future if I was heading down to Bristol.

The hotel is situated centrally and very close to amenities. The train station is a five minute walk and central Bristol (the bars and restaurants, etc) are a fifteen minute walk away through Castle Park.

We found the hotel to be clean, tidy and minimalistic. I travel a lot with my job and this hotel is clearly aimed at travellers who like minimal fuss. The bar and restaurant areas are excellent and are operated very efficiently.

We stayed on the eighth floor and have no complaints about the room.

I have spent just over 2 months working in Bristol and had to stay in quite a few hotels around Bristol Temple Meads , the last 5 weeks was spent at the Leonardo hotel .
I have to say from the minute I arrived at reception I was very impressed and was made to feel very welcome.
My room on the 6th floor was spotless, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked ( which I found in other hotels are a bit hit n miss).
The menu has a lot of variety and the breakfast bar is very impressive ( with continental option).
I’d like to give a special thanks to the following staff whom made my stay an absolute pleasure.

Matt.. thanks for your professionalism & good humour .

Andrea … for always having time for a natter and a giggle . , I will always count you as a friend ( take care chick x)

Chloe… Thanks for making me feel like I was one of the Leonardo family and taking an interest in me as a person , It really does make a difference to a guest experience ( some hotels can be quite impersonal and distant). Sorry I missed you when I checked out, so here’s a virtual hug 🤗 for you x

Esther & Romina.. huge thanks to you both for your professional and personal touch x

Megan.. thankyou for the endless meals you brought to my table with a friendly smile , your a star x

Charlotte … I know you have gone to pastures new but I cannot leave you out of this review, I do hope you read this . Thank you SO MUCH for going above & beyond the call of duty . ( This beautiful young lady took my clothes washing to her place and washed them for me as I didn’t get to go home one weekend.) Your a stunning young lady inside & out and I hope you have a happy life xx

I will recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a city weekend break or for companies that are trying to find suitable accommodation for their employees.

All the very best to all .

Kind regards
Neil

Just visited this hotel with my partner for 2 nights and we had a great stay. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and new inside. Breakfast was a buffet with a staff member serving the cooked items. There was a one way system in place but it could get quite busy and crowded at times. The fridge in our room was locked when we arrived- someone came and unlocked it for us but it wasn’t cold despite being turned on. We told reception and they came and replaced it, still wasn’t overly cold but we managed to get an ice bucket from the bar. We parked at the NCP car park just down the road, the receptionist gave us a ticket that reduced 24hr parking from £26 to £14 a day.
Overall great stay, would definitely recommend.

I booked a Travelzoo deal and was not disappointed.

Parking was discounted at the nearby NCP carpark making it ÂŁ14 for a 24 hour stay. It is then just a short 5 minute walk to the hotel where the friendly reception team booked us in very quickly.

We were allocated a disabled room which meant it was larger than usual with a wetroom. The room had everything you could need and there was just a little noise from the busy dual carriageway outside.

We did not eat in the Hotel on the evening and the restaurant didn't actually look open but there are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance unless you have mobility issues.

We did however have breakfast and this was self service style with plenty of choice.

We would definitely stay here again if we could secure a similar deal as it is an ideal base for exploring the delights Bristol has to offer.

Fairly new hotel so all fixtures and fittings were good, good shower with excellent water pressure and can get the water temperature to what I like.

Staff were really friendly and in a great location. The only reason for marking down was the noise, I would avoid the rooms on the main road as it is very noisy, there was also an annoying noise near my room (not sure what was causing it, sounded like an air conditioning unit). There is also building work going on next to the hotel so additional noise to contend with here.

Toiletries were nice and eco friendly which is a plus for me. The bed and pillows were comfy (I have a bad back so am fussy about beds) I would stay here again as long as I don’t have a road side room.

I would recommend the hotel make the location of the entrance more obvious as it is hidden around the back.

Yes but think you have to pay for it
Answer from Frankie Dawson
Hi Thanks for the question. We don't have parking on site, however we have two discounted car parks close by. Our website has all of the information on pricing and postcodes for satnav. With both car parks, you pay on departure, so drive in, leave your car and when leaving the hotel if in Gardiner Haskins, we will activate the chip for you or if in the NCP Broadmeads we will provide a discounted ticket for you. You then pay at the machines in each car park on departure. Hope this is of help We look forward to seeing you Kind regards Frankie
