My best friend took me out for dinner to celebrate my new job. We drank fabulous wine, we were a little underwhelmed with the food but the experience was brilliant overall thanks to the staff. The barman was knowledgeable and the waitresses (especially zelda) were attentive and very friendly. The location and staff are this places’ best asset. The building is also beautiful!

Lovely stylish bedroom and excellent meal in the restaurant. The reception staff Gosia and Jola were very welcoming and helpful. Overall a great weekend. Reserved parking was a real bonus and the location is perfect for exploring the city.

Thanks to Jane and the team at Hotel Du Vin Bristol 😊 we had a super stay - partly for business and partly because my daughter was attending a course. We had a few extra requests (early breakfast trays etc) that were all accommodated. Our rooms were great, clean and stylish and we had good in the restaurant each evening. Great food and super breakfasts too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Totally recommend for a city break in the heart of wonderful Bristol 😊

Everything perfect from check in to our taxi booking on leaving. Many thanks to Gosha (hope we've got this right) on reception, a first class service. Bar staff fabulous, our cocktails were great. Staff at breakfast were equally as good. Our room, SWISS WINE was extremely comfortable and quirky, retaining some great features of this lovely old building. A great place for a night in Bristol, we'll definitely be back.

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel in a junior suite for a special occasion. We were left very disappointed and felt we had wasted a lot of money. The room was very spacious but tired and worn, the furniture was tired, old and worn. There was no wow factor. The bathroom was the only part that could be considered luxurious. However, unfortunately the shower has very minimal water pressure and didn’t work properly. It also is not easy to control the temperature making it either very cold or very hot. It does not have a hand held nozzle attachment which as a female who did not want to wash my hair would have been very useful. The shower also doesn’t drain well and can get quite smelly as water stagnant for so long. The bath was wonderful however I do wonder if the inclusion of more than one bath fizz tablet should Be expected as guests may want to use bath more than once? It’s things like that and the contents of the hamper that make it feel luxurious and adds to the stay….. We also only had one breakfast tea bag in our room hamper, 1 hot chocolate and our milk bottle was not full, only minor issues but for the price of the room it feels like these are the things we should not have to ‘worry’ about or indeed chase up. I don’t feel it’s a lot for a room for 2 people to at least have 2 of each thing on offer? The temperature of the room would not go below 16c despite turning off radiators and using air con system, we spent a lot of time trying to sort this, disappointingly we mentioned this before supper on Friday evening and were told to turn down radiators (which we had done) and nothing more could be done? We mentioned this upon check out and was told it could easily have been controlled via reception. This was very frustrating as it really did impact our stay as the room was so warm. I don’t feel the stay matched in terms of your promises and how it felt to us as paying guests, it’s just the finishing touches were not there. Especially for the amount of money paid. We had breakfast the next morning which we booked for 10am and were told breakfast ended at 11am. When we arrived there were no bowls available next to the cereal, the pastries were removed apart from one plate by 10.35. There were no English breakfast tea bags on display, and coffee machine flashing red so we had to wait for a staff member to be able to flag this as an issue. There was not much available to us even around 10.15, 45 minutes before breakfast ended, we had staff clearing tables next to and around us from 10.35. The breakfast was being removed as we ate our hot choice and it felt like we were an inconvenience to the cleaning down process and it felt like we didn’t have a chance to enjoy other bits as I didn’t want to go and get it as it was being taken away and as a consequence be in the way of staff. Unfortunately it was not a pleasurable experience at all, and really disappointed us we cut our breakfast short not even finishing our hot drinks. I just feel for the high end price that was paid, the service (especially breakfast), luxurious touches and experience was lacking, not there and just disappointing. We had such high hopes for our special occasion to be spent at the hotel and although it was ok, maybe good enough it wasn’t what I feel we were entitled to expect when looking at your website and paying our bill. We paid around £360 when you factor in parking for one night stay and we didn’t have breakfast, a decent shower and stayed in an uncomfortably hot room where we couldn’t even both have a cup of tea in our room without asking reception for another tea bag! I’m sorry but for me that is unacceptable so therefore I would not recommend anyone part with their hard earned money to stay here especially if you want luxury and for it to feel special.

We were greeted by Marioly who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. She took are bags and directed us to a restaurant we needed to get to with ease. Our room was amazing very spacious and clean. Massive bathroom with lovely toiletries. We were glad we had booked a table for dinner as the restaurant was busy. Service was quite slow but we really enjoyed the food. We did find the restaurant very cold but it was a freezing weekend and everywhere in Bristol we visited that weekend was cold. Very quiet hotel. We heard nothing from outside and had a great sleep. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. We look forward to our return.

Once again Hotel du Bin Bristol & the lovely Marioly delivered superb service. Requesting our room to be available a little earlier, facilitating parking & feeling welcomed back. Always a pleasure to stay and the 2 storey pol tiger suite was a real surprise - really beautiful room. Thankyou Marioly & Team.

We visited this restaurant after a 15 year break, as we have moved abroad. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious, clearly cooked by a talented chef. Infact we were bowled over by the flavours in the onion soup, house salad and gnocchi. The waiter Alexander was also super efficient and careful regarding allergies. We couldn’t fault it at all. The atmosphere and welcome in the bar was also lovely. So pleased to see that high standards are maintained after all this time. Can certainly recommend and will return. Must add that prices were very fair too.
