The Holiday Inn Aylesbury is often commended for its spacious and comfortable rooms equipped with modern amenities, despite some remarks about the bathrooms needing updates. Guests consistently applaud the hotel for its cleanliness and the modern, welcoming atmosphere after recent renovations. While opinions on value vary, with some finding the dining options expensive, others feel room rates and breakfast are reasonable.
The hotel's amenities, including a pristine pool and a contemporary gym, are popular among guests. Service experiences tend to differ; the reception and breakfast staff have received accolades, but the restaurant service sometimes falls short. The location is a highlight, conveniently situated near transport and attractions, in a serene setting.

Detailed Reviews
This has to be one of the best hotels I've stayed in however there are problems.
The location is perfect with a bus stop almost outside the hotel into Aylesbury or a pleasant 2 mile walk to the canal that's at the back of the theatre.
The pool, sauna, steam room, and gym are really good though we did notice a scum mark around the edge of the pool. The pool is small and was very busy. Towels are provided but the lockers in the changing room were a bit of a mish-mash to use.
Meals - there was plenty on offer and a good assortment however the food was served warm, despite this being pointed out wasn't sorted over the four days we were there.
The bedrooms were large and with a shower over the bath and provided shampoo and soap. Tea/coffee facilties in the room
There was plenty of space to relax.
The bar was rediculously expensive nearly £6 a pint of cider.
All in all not bad would definitely stay if we were in the area again.

Hotel's Favourite
We came away to celebrate a birthday and to visit a couple of NT sites we had been wanting to see.
The hotel is either not very old or been refurbished as it was contemporary with a lovely bar/terrace area and grill style restaurant.
The reason for my review is to compliment the two members of staff on reception, the duty manager Raj and his colleague could not have been more hospitable. Arranging a dinner reservation, informing us of a points system with the hotel group and informing us of their presence for any assistance during our stay.
Our room was large and comfy, the products were prob some of the best I’ve used in a hotel.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Dear CharlotteB967, Thank you for your kind words after attending the birthday party. Our bedrooms and exterior areas have been remodeled recently. A new addition to our hotel facilities, the Curtyard is the perfect spot for relaxing and unwinding after a day at work, celebrating special occasions or hosting corporate events. It's kind of you to highlight Raj and his collegue for their customer service. I will make sure they are rewarded for their efforts. Kind regards, Artur Kuzniak General Manager

I have used the Holiday Inn at Aylesbury for previous business meetings.
Today, I was with two colleagues for a confidential meeting.
The ambience and standard of service are first-class.
Elizabeth, who was in the bar/Starbucks area, served us.
She has a cheery smile and is informative about creating a 'tab.'
The cappuccino, latte and black American decaf were served professionally and without a drop being spilt!
I should add that I had changed the location of my meeting from the outside area to one more conducive to indoors as the rain arrived.
Basics matter.
Thank you, Elizabeth!

We moved from Bloomsbury Holiday Inn to Aylesbury Holiday Inn, to a pleasant surprise. After our experience of the room at Bloomsbury, we weren't expecting much from this place. Our room could have been better, but the bathroom was such a joy! It was set up as a proper disabled friendly space with walk in shower, seat, and the proper rails in the right places. The room, however, could do with some better facilities. We found that the room had no safe. When we asked for one, we were told that this category of standard rooms do not come with safes. Nor were we to be given extra hangers (there were only six for two people. That was a new one! So when we asked for a premium room which comes with a safe and extra hangers, we were told that premium rooms were not accessible. So there are two conclusions to draw from this. a) Disabled people are not expected to have either valuables or too many clothes when they travel. or b) Premium room guests are not allowed to be physically challenged!! I do hope the management will take note of this. However, when we did meet the Manager, Grant, he did his best to help us, by giving us some extra bits of furniture and extra hangers to make our 10- day stay comfortable.
Holiday Inn needs to look at its breakfast menu carefully. The breakfast menu of Bloomsbury was replicated at Aylesbury. Cannot understand how this is an award winning breakfast.
However, the staff here are friendly and efficient. They don't have as many workers so the ones there work extremely hard. Their dinner menu, though small, is well presented and well made. We enjoyed our dinner there.

Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the bathroom setup in our accessible room and found the team friendly and efficient. I apologise for the confusion regarding the room amenities. Unfortunately, none of our standard or premium rooms have safes, but we do offer to store valuables in our back office safe if needed. I appreciate your suggestions about the breakfast menu and will pass them along to oue Head Chef. Thanks again for your input, and we hope to see you again! Kind regards, Artur Kuzniak, General Manager

What a delight. A beautiful hotel with very welcoming staff. The gentleman in the bar and restaurant was very funny. The room was great and the outdoor patio area a bonus. The food menu, best ever. We could see workmen painting the doors/rooms keeping the standards very high.

We hosted a training dinner at the hotel which was executed absolutely faultlessly by the event team Anthony and Emna. The chef created a bespoke Caribbean menu and a mocktail was created specifically for the evening. Some of the participants stayed overnight and loved the updated rooms. An excellent team of staff at this hotel which is looking fantastic after renovation.

I don’t generally review business visits. However, as myself and other work colleagues are spending a few nights here on a very regular basis I do feel the need to offer feedback.
The hotel is friendly without staff being intrusive. The mantra is ‘ you leave as friends’ and I’d say that this is exactly how we feel. The efficiency and personal welcome from the front of house team is first class. Raj in particular excellent however all without exception are very good. Clearly the culture and training is embedded in the best of ways.
The housekeeping team are first class and in 16 weeks of regular stays the room is serviced perfectly.
Now for the bar and restaurant team. They are all without exception brilliant and remember drinks preferences and are all personable. Anthony stands out in customer services and leading the younger staff. Well done to them.
Now for the things that could make a difference. Please offer daily specials on the menu as it is very repetitive. A lovely new summer menu would be welcome too.

Very friendly and polite staff at breakfast and in the bar area, particularly Fiona, (and the breakfast area staff) she remembered my name and came over and offered me a drink when she saw I’d finished the previous one.
I sat outside enjoying my coffee and pastries, all such friendly staff, including the man that checked me in and the maintenance man in the courtyard area.
Thank you
