The Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe is often commended for its cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere, with travelers enjoying the modern amenities and trendy decor. However, some guests have called out issues with dust and maintenance. The hotel's location is appreciated for its convenience to major roads, though not ideal for those without cars.
While the staff receives high marks for their friendliness and efficiency, the hotel's bar, room service, and food options are considered overpriced by many. Despite these mixed reviews, the overall value and convenience are highlighted positively.

Checked in on the first day of opening and stayed for 2 nights.
Whilst the check-in process wasn’t the smoothest I have ever experienced (in fact it took several visits to reception before I could eventually got into the room) the staff were brilliant and when you can see that they are trying their best, then you can’t ask for more.
The bed wasn’t very comfortable, but the room was to a very high spec given the standard of hotel.
The rooms to the rear of the hotel can be a little noisy as they back onto the M40.
The gym is a good size and has cardio machines, free weights and weight machines and is very good given the standard of the hotel.
Breakfast was very good with a variety of hot food, fresh fruit and the coffee was pretty good as well.
The food menu is limited, but was okay and reasonably priced, but if need anything for the room, including a snack then there is a Waitrose supermarket next to the hotel.
All in all a very pleasant stay, which was great value for money and on checking out I always ask myself the question ‘would I stay again’ and the answer is a definite ‘yes’

We visited the Hampton by Hilton at Handy Cross. We had three rooms for our family. The hotel was nice, modern, and clean. Rooms were nice, beds were firm, Wi-Fi was great and there are a plethora plug ins for electronic devices, including USBs for phones. The restrooms were clean and modern, and the showers were phenomenal! The staff was friendly and accommodated an early check-in and stored our bags in a secure area when we checked out so we could see more of the area. The breakfast was top notch — a full English breakfast or a la carte or both, with fresh fruit as well. Coffee machines produced top quality cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, espressos, americanos, etc. What really set the place apart was the friendly staff. Sharmane at the front desk was very accommodating and especially helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The Hampton idea is a good one, it’s effectively a Premier Inn with quirky contemporary I touches approach. The lobby is contemporary and there was a friendly efficient welcome. The iPhone key card didn’t work for me in the app check in but it was not an issue for me as I had to book the car park anyway and the reception sorted both for me. The beds are really good, the Smeg fridge and kettle attempts to lift the room feel are a nice touch. However, housekeeping didn’t refill the teas bags after a night and the room cleaning was poor. A big dust bunny greeted us and remained over our two nights as did the mud print on the floor. Shower seals need redoing and random hairs were present. The corridors were not vacuumed before or during our two nights with peanuts and mud remaining throughout.
Overall I like the hotel and brand idea and I would return as it’s decent value and location but it’s disappointing to see them drop the ball on something as visible and easily remedied as room cleaning.

We booked here for the great location of what we were doing. Friendly checkin. It’s all very new and shiny so really nice to stay in such a new hotel. Rooms are well set out and tasteful. Very comfortable beds & pillows.
Huge TV great wifi.
Very good gym and the best hotel gym I’ve used in a while.
We had a great nights sleep despite the location next to the M40 it is so quiet and also within the building .
Breakfast has a lot of variety of pastries and bread for toast and gluten free bread.
Sadly the cooked breakfast really lets it down. It’s laid out under heat lamps but was all cold and the scrambled egg was the most disgusting colour grey green and mentioned to the staff they changed it for another dish much the same, it may have been scrambled egg once but not under the heat lamps. I hate to say the breakfast would not get me back here .
Coffee nice machine taste terrible. Fantastic hotel but breakfast is your last impression. Well very last impression was the male receptionist trying to tell us we had to pay for the carpark across the front of the hotel when the previous day they told us it was fine they would validate the ticket! He did not seem to appreciate this. The actual carpark is behind the building, but we were told it was fine to be where we were.A very handy big Waitrose right next door to the hotel too.
Wish you well with the new hotel .

Hello eatdrinkstay, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay at the Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe. It is disappointing to hear you felt the breakfast did not meet your expectations. It is really important to us that we are able to take this feedback and share this with our F&B team to look into how we may be able to improve for the future. I am sorry if the car parking facilities and charges were not explained fully to you. We benefit from having 47 spaces at the rear of the hotel and then we have additional spaces in the large car park at the front too. The daily charge is £4.00 per vehicle for 24 hours and we honour this in either car park that you use. Thank you for your kind wishes for the future and hopefully you may be able to try us again one day. Kind regards, Angela Hotel Team

Wojtek (voytek) really made the entire experience fantastic. He, was extremely helpful accommodating and welcoming, he explained everything really clearly. He was extremely responsive to our needs with regards to room size and accessibility. The hotel itself was 5* quality. The room was very spacious and it was helpful to have body wash in a dispenser, shampoo and conditioner in a dispenser format. The soap was also in a dispenser format which was much more easier to use and highly valued in the room. The decor was wonderful- colourful and made you smile! Overall a fantastic stay - well worth the money. I really want to commend the team/ the receptionist the next day was also extremely friendly and Wojtek’s professionalism and attitude in going the extra mark was extremely, extremely appreciated and really did make the experience.

Stayed here for one night. Pros are that it is close to the motorway and has a large, airy, clean and spacious breakfast area which served a reasonable inclusive breakfast. It's also a bright, modern hotel. Cons are that the rooms, whilst comfortable enough, felt a little spartan in furnishing terms compared with other Hamptons I have stayed in, sporting a new minimalist design which felt a bit more 'budget' to me than other hotels in the chain. Also this recently opened hotel appears to have some housekeeping issues as the room had lots of scuff marks on the walls and was not as clean as it could have been. Additionally, parking is chargeable at £4 per night which might be a consideration for you given that other hotels nearby offer free parking.

This is a brand new hotel at the junction of the M40 & A404, making it convenient for High Wycombe & Marlow.
Being new it was spotless, with all the facilities one would expect af a major national chain.
The staff were friendly & helpful, although on a learning curve which was to be expected.
There were a couple of teething problems, such as the bathroom lock not finished yet, but no doubt soon will be, Personally I found the shower water was too hot & I could not turn it any further down. The lady looking after the breakfast was friendly & trying to be very helpful, but with covid regulations, was getting too close.
It was unfortunate that there was a false fire alarm at 7.30am - another teething situation.
All in all, we had a comfortable & pleasant stay, which was competitively priced as it included breakfast.

We were part of a wedding party that took place nearby. We wanted to see if we could drop our bags as we needed to be at our venue for 1300. Much to our surprise all rooms for the wedding guests had been made ready ( the manger said that they always try and do this ) which was a real bonus as we could quickly drop bags and freshen up. The room itself was really nice (I believe the hotel is new) and apparently we were put into a superior room, which had a massive (and very comfortable) queen bed! Our wedding party got back at about 0145 but the bar was still open if you wanted another drink!!! There’s was a great choice for breakfast that was a welcome as we needed to refuel after a long day. The staff were also a credit to the hotel. It’s been a while since we have been to a Hilton branded hotel but based on our stay we will definitely look out for them in the future. Great stay, thank you.

Had a long weekend away with friends and stayed here for its cost and had breakfast included. The rooms were comfortable and air conditioned, the rooms had large shower in bathroom close to waitrose parking does cost but after parking it is cheaper if you pay for parking inside the hotel not at the pay and display machines. The staff we came across were all happy and chatty
Would definitely use this hotel if in the area

Dear Tavia, Yes, all room got iron in the room.
Per the last answer, the hotel car park (behind the hotel) is chargeable. The car park immediately in front of the hotel can be used (also for park and ride customers to Oxford/airport) and costs the same as the hotel.l car park. We didn't see any free parking when we visited April 2022.
I don’t know, is the true answer, sorry.
