Excellent service, every member of the staff are wonderful from the check in desk to the restaurant and housekeeping! The room was beautiful with a view over the park, quiet and comfortable. Delicious breakfast and dinner. On-site parking was worth the extra cost. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of champagne upon our arrival - thank you.

Just had a great weekend break here. Very comfortable room, good dining and great staff. Excellent location for the city centre. We came by train as parking a car (and getting round Cambridge by car) is challenging. Our room had a park view, across Parker’s Piece, recommended.

An excellent hotel overall in a good position with very helpful staff. On one morning they struggled with the busy period and as a result breakfast was a bit shambolic but this was a one off. We had a nice cosy room but could have done with more storage space. Overall we would be happy to stay in this hotel again.

Fantastic Hotel - also a big shout out to Francesco at the restaurant, what an extraordinarily and helpful person he was, really made my trip! Location is also ideal, the decor of the hotel is lovely, in sum a place to stay.

Beautiful hotel in this historic building with many original features. Perfectly situated adjacent to the park with beautiful views from some rooms and the breakfast area. The hotel is centrally located for social outings.

Absolutely the best hotel in Cambridge. Centrally located. Easy to get around. Wonderful front desk staff. The Parker Tavern has amazing staff with a wonderful since of humor. Good breakfast serving nice strong coffee. Dinner is wonderful, and Afternoon Tea is worth a pleasant two hour relaxing time in the Library.

We had a brilliant stay in Cambridge at the University Arms, in spite of a few hiccups. The staff at the front desk were lovely and the car port made it really easy to drop off our bags before we went and parked elsewhere nearby. The room was well appointed and very comfy, and the location of the hotel generally was perfect for us exploring the city. Breakfast in the morning was a nice offering, but the food was a little cold and unfortunately there weren’t any beans with the hot items. The only other thing that dampened our stay a little (or made it particularly memorable looking back!) was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night, which with a 3 month old wasn’t too fun… That being said, we would definitely return and recommend to anyone traveling to Cambridge.

This is a beautiful building with an impressive facade and in a great location but we were disappointed at how cold it was - from room 132 onwards there was no heating in the corridor. On arrival our room was very cold, especially the bathroom, and we had to leave the heating on permanently. There were water splatter stains on the bathroom floor which made it look dirty and the coffee machine didn’t produce hot coffee. We spoke to a manager to have this rectified but unfortunately nothing changed. Breakfast is not five star. We were expecting a cooked breakfast to order but instead it’s a buffet which is not attended to by the chefs and is next to a pile of cold plates. The waitress found it highly amusing when we asked if we could have a hot plate from the kitchen. We loved the comfortable bar area but found the bar service chaotic and felt the drinks were overpriced. We didn’t like that we didn’t sign for our drinks and, instead, were just asked for our room number. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean and really good quality. The French receptionist who checked us in was very professional and supplied us with an excellent map of Cambridge. It’s a lovely hotel but these small faults meant that the stay did not wholly live up to our expectations, especially given how much we paid to stay there.…

We had looked forward to this trip away, but were so disappointed. The room was over £250 and it turned out to be the smallest of rooms, you could almost touch walls. Everything in it was pretty basic too. No mini bar just a fridge with a tiny plastic bottle of milk in. Small bottle of water each by the bed none for the kettle for tea. For the money we paid we were astounded. We finally got an upgrade of room, for about £30 extra, better size, but again nothing in the room was different. No breakfast info, no Cambridge info, it's all on the tv! Breakfast is £22 each, it looked pretty poor so we opted out of that, 2 large drinks at the bar were £40. Reception staff were pretty unimpressive, good location but way too expensive for what you get, there are better more reasonable hotels Im sure.…

I am naturally disappointed to read that your experience with us did not live up to your complete satisfaction and I'm sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. The room description including the room size (starting at 19 sq m) and amenities are displayed on our website, also our Reservation team is available to advise about the different room options. We provide 2 complimentary bottlesof water per day for our guests and we are happy to supply more upon request. Please note that during Covid, all the printed material was removed and all the information related to the hotel can be found on the TV. In regards to our breakfast, we offer a breakfast buffet with a wide range of continental and English items, I'm sorry to hear that you found it poor. On a positive note, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the hotel's location. This hotel holds the perfect position in Cambridge. Very friendly staff and lovely rooms. The breakfast was also excellent! The on site restaurant is brilliant and bar too. I would highly recommend this for an overnight stay in Cambridge.
