This hotel is all about exceptional service and they largely deliver. There were a few minor niggles but it is important to let them know at the point of service and just watch them absolutely excel in solving this. This is a hotel with great demand for private events in addition to regular service and they manage both perfectly. Seriously, for all the events over the weekend, our leisure weekend was not remotely impacted and this is truly commendable. With all of the challenges the hospitality and leisure industries are currently facing, this is one of the true winners at delivering beyond expectations...doing it well! Our stay at the Graduate for my partner's birthday so far surpassed my expectations. The room was even more beautiful than it looked in the pictures, with a big comfy bed and classy furnishings. The staff went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was special - complementary room upgrade to a riverview king, birthday card and chocolate, provided robes and slippers on request, and prosecco brought to the room. Breakfast was tasty and served in a glorious glass walled room overlooking the river, reminiscent of jazz clubs with its soft green velvet and soft swing tunes. The highlight of the stay was definitely the pool area with its sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and view of the river Cam. The hotel is beautifully decorated and in a wonderful location Unfortunately the room and bathroom was not clean and very dusty. When I asked for help with this as I am asthmatic, a cleaner came with a vacuum that seemed to hardly work and a white towel to dust (clearly they don't have cleaning equipment). The room remainrd very dusty and dirty. The shower had black hairs in and wasn't clean . The balcony was really dusty and covered in cobwebs. One one day, thr floor in the ladies changing room was truly filthy and covered in hair was horrible to wall on . The next day or was clean and I noticed a lady being given a tour . One particular receptionist was very rude and patronising. The others were nice. It's hard to get any information clearly on things like parking, breakfast , dinner , where the swimming pool was , what times it was open . It was like some sort of secret . Would have offered this written down clearly for guests . We had breakfast and ate outside as we have up on solving the mystery of how to do so at the hotel. …

Arrived at the hotel on Sunday and booked a meal in their restaurant, they don't do a dinner service on Sunday so we booked for the 2 course Sunday lunch at £29. Meal was ok,and I had a pint of shandy .my other half stuck with water. but was then presented with a bill for nearly £100. I queried the bill and it was adjusted to £77 .again questioned the and was told that it was company policy to charge for the full pint of beer and then add the lemonade at £4.00. In other words £10.75 for a shandy. When I checked the price in the bar I was told that a pint of shandy was £6.75. I don't appreciate being blatantly lied to because the staff were too lazy to adjust the bill for a second time. Also not impressed with £21 per night to park in their own car park and a 12.5% service charge.…

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience when you were presented with a higher bill, the server had in error presented you with the bill for another table hence the discrepancy in cost, this was immediately rectified. With regards the shandy, you ordered a pint of Estrella and a lemonade on the side. The waitress, being new and unaware that at the bar this is usually can be ordered and charged for as one item, charged you for two items, our apologies for this confusion. If you want to pay well over the odds to be ignored by incredibly rude staff, I'd thoroughly recommend it. I complained to the Manager of the bar about his staff and he just told me "you can't say anything to these kids these days, they just don't listen". The rooms are so dated they are almost back in vogue. Almost. Good location for central town but the hotel is grubby and porly managed. Rooms overlook a disgusting felt flat roof. Absolute shambles, avoid.

Dirty hotel with poor service. Upon complaining about the cleanness of the hotel at check-out the Receptionist told me he deals with complaints over cleaning daily. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing rather than attending to guests and no sight of a manager when asked to speak to one.

We love traveling to Cambridge and always stay at the Graduate. The hotel is classic, with punting boats decorating the main lobby. The rooms are always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the food is always great. I recommend staying here if you are visiting this historic city.

Comfortable hotel with unique riverside location. We'll equipped bedroom and bathroom but the bed was much too soft for my liking. Staff all friendly and helpful. The badging of the hotel as "Graduate" is a bit naff in Cambridge but it probably appeals to overseas tourists

Shocking place! The hotel is like a circus and dirty. Management standing around doing nothing. The service was very poor, food was cold and poor and staff not trained. Toilets needed a good clean. I would not recommend going here.
