The hotel staff have been wonderful 1st call was to Nathan absolutely delighted I. Has special requirements because of additional needs and I was meet with kindness and thoughtfulness and this really is rare . But I can’t thank Dora enough what a gem absolutely made sure everything was perfect and such a credit to the hotel . Truly exceptional k in d thoughtful professional addition to detail who made are family stay run smoothly. . Zane was fantastic and wonderful experience in the Bentley the outstanding car and experience was just made even more wonderful with zane as the driver and son adored his time and really enjoyed his experience and relaxed which can be rare and this was all down to zane so thank you from the bottom of our hearts . Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again .

Lovely hotel, staff were excellent, breakfast was high quality and the bar area and garden space were very nice. Room was well appointed, bathroom a good size and bed very comfortable. A very good experience and somewhere we would def stay again.

I held a post wedding family gathering at Gonville hotel as well as stayed there the night before and everyone had the most amazing time. Abbie was extremely helpful in arranging everything and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Massive thank you and I would definitely recommend staying there overnight or holding an event.

A friendly welcome from staff on arrival and a beautifully luxurious, spacious room with a view overlooking Parker's Piece. Great breakfast, with a variety of dishes available, I'd recommend the Moroccan Shakshouka which was a great vegetarian alternative to traditional breakfast options. I look forward to visiting again.

A beautiful and well kept hotel close to Cambridge City Centre. Excellent service from the moment we arrived to when we left. Great bar and restaurant and a lovely garden area. The rooms (superior king) were spacious and modern and had great facilities. Excellent location. The free Bentley tour was lovely touch and a great way to travel around Cambridge to see the sights.

Excellent from the moment we walked in the door. Reception were friendly, helpful, very efficient and made us feel welcome immediately. Our room was lovely and well thought out (plugs near mirrors) with everything you could need. The only thing we lacked was a view, but were were there to see Cambridge, not spend a lot of time in the room. And the Gonville is in a perfect location; easy walking to anywhere central, with a lovely park opposite. Breakfast was great, and again, all the staff smiled and were happy to accommodate menu changes; the buffet selections were good and the cooked breakfasts excellent. We'll be back again. Our second visit to this hotel. Our first experience left us a little disappointed but the GM promised that a return would give them an opportunity to show us how wonderful things can be. Everything this time round was perfect. From the friendly staff who could not do enough to help us, to the excellent, beautiful room. If you get the opportunity to stay in the separate house - Lavendula Room 2 will not disappoint. The added bonus of your private seating overlooking the garden, outside of the double doors was wonderful. We were also incredibly happy that the breakfast set up has changed. Freshly cooked to order and plenty of choice. There were a few people a little unhappy as no parking spaces but we were lucky to get one. Everyone you come across here is cheerful and kind. We loved staying at the Gonville Hotel. Our room was a little small, as booked, but perfectly o.k.for the two of us, and had a very nice view to Parker’s Piece. The hotel conveys the traditional English flair, breakfast was delicious and the staff is very supportive. A special thank you to Dora, the manager, who went beyond her way to assist us. We arrived by coach from Stansted and left by train to London, and the hotel location was perfect for this arrangement. We loved Cambridge and staying at the Gonville certainly contributed to it.
