Hotel's Favourite
We had a 2 night stay in a superior deluxe room and it was phenomenal. The room itself was beautifully decorated, we particularly loved the bath at the end of the bed, the fridge stocked with complimentary soft drinks, the amazingly comfy king sized bed and the glorious rainfall shower. On arrival there was also a complimentary fruit platter and rose petals on the bed as the hotel were aware we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Breakfast was really lovely and the service we received throughout our whole stay was exemplary. We will definitely be coming back! - The Claveys

My boyfriend got us a great deal on virgin experience days to stay at this hotel. We both had never been to Cambridge before and didn’t really know what to expect. I must say this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in purely because of how great the service is and how gorgeous the hotel is! The decor in our room was nice and had a real cosy feel to it. The staff surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco as a late birthday gift to myself! This really made our night as it was unexpected.. little gestures like that go a long way. I can’t praise the staff enough, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We had a Bentley tour booked for the Saturday but I had totally forgot about it thinking it was on Sunday. The staff were so helpful and managed to rebook us on Sunday, even though the hotel was due to be closed for maintenance that day. I was so appreciative of this as we were really looking forward to the tour. It was great btw, our driver was great and took us on a little detour! We had dinner at the terrace restaurant, I was looking forward to it from what I saw online but unfortunately the actual menu was disappointing and food tasted quite bland. It wasn’t fine dining as advertised on the website… however dessert was yummy and so was breakfast! We will absolutely be staying here again, the hotel is a great location and within walking distance to some of the sights, restaurants and shopping center. Thank you Gonville for a lovely stay 😊
