I spent a night here in March, a much needed break after a long winter, and almost felt I was in Italy when I was in the restaurant! A lovely hotel, comfortable spacious room with everything I needed, and a fantastic dinner. The only downside as that it took staff 20 minutes to serve me at breakfast, but the food was fine. Be warned, it is at least a 30 minute walk from the centre of Cambridge, but there are buses outside.

I booked this hotel as I win Cambridge for business and the reviews seemed good. I had a 20% discount but still the price was £122. Positive. The pizza in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. A bit pricey but very good. Negative. The pillows were lumpy and hard, which made it impossible to sleep. The curtains were thin, so even if you were lucky enough to get some sleep, you woke up at 5am anyway. Shower was non existent as there was no pressure so it just trickled out. No hot water when using the sink. Breakfast wasn't served till 7.30 which was no good for me as I needed to leave at 7.30 Definitely not worth the money. When I checked out, I wasn't asked how the stay was, so this is the first thing the hotel will know

Convenient good value Hotel not far from the City centre. Private car park on site. Friendly staff and easy check in. Single rooms are pretty small but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Restaurant serves a a good range of pizzas. Breakfast was very really good

Stayed at Sorrento for one night last night, what a little gem. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean and tidy and the pizza I had was just like the ones I've had when visiting Italy. I will definitely book another stay at this hotel.Good selection for breakfast, full English or Continental, had the full English, very tasty indeed Can't thank the staff enough for making our stay at the Sorrento so enjoyable 10 out of 10 👏 bravo Gareth room 109

Friends from different parts of the country decended on this hotel for 3 nights for "THE GATHERING ". Great welcome by reception staff, hotel looked special from outside and inside . Rear car park small but we found spaces. Room 126 was fine with great king size beds which were cozy. Television and kettle etc were fine. SHOWER however was very poor. Scolding water, unable to cool it at all. No complaint made as we just got on with it. (Man up !! ) Evening meal in the hotel's restaurant was very nice and the Chianti was even better . Breakfast was good with a good selection of everything ! Very clean hotel and I felt very relaxed here.Very cozy. All Italian so you can't go wrong. A must if staying in Cambridge, I would definitely re visit again. There's a nice pub just across the road with alternative menus, beer and Sky sports if you prefer but ? Thank you Sorrento Hotel. A good visit.

We were two ladies who were in need of a few days pampering. One double room, and one luxury room complete with Sauna and Jacuzzi. The beds were comfortable and the en-suite rooms were spotlessly clean. All the staff were very welcoming, there was a lovely family atmosphere. The food was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. The hotel had private parking, and was ideally situated for a short bus ride into town. Leaflets for interesting things to do, like punting, and bus tours were available at reception.

Last minute booking - meeting friends who were staying at the Travelodge a short walk away. Sorrento was considerably cheaper and included breakfast, so a no brainer. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast in the bright and airy restaurant. I stayed in a single room, which was comfortable and clean, if a little tired. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

What a discovery, an Italian oasis in the suburbs of Cambridge. Most of the staff were either family members or friends of the family, really invested in the business, friendly and helpful. We had the four-poster room with jacuzzi and sauna as we like to have a bath. Didn't use the sauna but the jacuzzi was good. The room was compact but had everything you need right down to bathrobes and disposable slippers. Walk out of the front door and go about 20 metres to the right to find the bus stop where the number 3 takes you straight into the heart of Cambridge. The perfect hotel, therefore, from which to launch your tour of the city, leaving your car behind in the hotel carpark. The carpark is small and well used but we had no problem finding a space.

Room Tip: Car Park gets quite full. Recommend asking for a space when booking.

Very clean & well decorated. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice to suit everyone. My only complaint was that there was no hot chocolate or decaffeinated coffee available in the rooms. I did ask reception h was told they not available. Good location, 20mins walk from station & 35mins from city centre.
