This was the first time my mum and I stayed at the Premier Inn and what a great hotel and amazing stay we had. We stayed for two nights. What made our stay exceptional was the staff, especially Ferdie, Anjum and Paulina as they were friendly, polite, professional and always happy and couldn’t do enough for us, clearly a very well run team. Being a wheelchair user myself, the hotel was great for me. We had an accessible room which was clean, tidy and plenty of room to move around in. The accessible bathroom was great also with lots of room. We come and stay in Cambridge a few times in the year and this will be our new preferred place to stay on our future trips.

Excellent one night stay. The hotel is situated between Cambridge city centre and Cambridge United football club. It's about a 15 to 20 minute walk into the city and around 10 to 15 minute walk to the football ground. We stayed while doing our tour of The 92 football league grounds. The bar had away fans in having pre match drinks as there are no pubs near the ground. The away fans were friendly and we had good banter and football related conversations without a hint of trouble or nonsense, as it should be!. The hotel is clean and all the stafff were friendly, courteous and polite at check in, in the bar and the restaurant for breakfast service. We did not hear any traffic noise at any time. Parking was £6 for one night stay.

The hotel should provide more staff! It was rare to see anyone on the check-out desk for when customers arrived. People were complaining each night we stayed there as they wanted to check in and had questions about parking and so on. It was the same in the restaurant and bar. We booked a breakfast deal. However, on our last morning, the chef called in sick and there was only hot tea (no coffee as machine was broken), some croissants and bread! The staff member promised us a refund for our non-breakfast, but, 8 days later this has not arrived on our credit card as she said it would. When we paid for our room on arrival, we were charged on our credit card the next day, so the refund should reach our account in a similar time frame. We would not stay here again, so by cutting back on staff, Premier Inns have lost us as a customer. We had to chase up Premier Inns today about a lack of refund, this is completely unacceptable.

Everything you expect from a premier inn but be aware that a hotel with over 500 rooms has only 48 car parking spaces on site. Additional unsecured paid parking is available in a local supermarket car park which is 10mins from the hotel. Not much to ask to include car parking in cost of booking. Also more than cheeky nowadays to ask for more money for faster wifi - again should be included in the cost of booking.

You get what you pay for with Premier Inn and this was another nice, easy stay. We managed to park in the car park, £7 per 24 hours. Room was clean and despite being situated on a busy main road our room was very quiet. We never eat in the Premier Inn so can’t comment on food but the drinks and service in the bar and reception was great, no complaints. It doesn’t initially look like the nicest part of Town but it was perfectly fine, we walked into Cambridge in around 25 minutes (with a 10 year old) In the evenings we quickly and easily got an Uber back which was about £7.

Could apply to the whole of the Premier Inn group - but the inflexibility and general incompetence of the customer service has been ramped up a few notches recently. I arrived 18 minutes early to be told check in opened at 3pm, and to check-in straight away would cost £10. ‘New rules’ apparently. In general though, the service here is just appalling on every level. Hard to tell what part of it is group wide, and what part is down to hotel staff, but it’s awful.

Reception guy helpful, but so busy, eventually other guests directed us to park a distance away in supermarket carpark which wasn't mentioned when booking, £6.50 for the night. Hotel communal areas dirty, previous (?) night's chips laid on floor in lift, bin overflowing in reception, we paid extra for premier room, found leftover pizza in the fridge from another guest, hopefully just from the night before... Another guest was complaining in reception about wet towels in his room, assume from that room's previous guest. I'm a big fan of Prem Inn, and use them frequently around the country but this was a real let down :( Cleaners need to do their job, we felt we were staying in a unhygienic room and hoped that the bedding had been changed!! Didn't eat there as we were worried the catering staff might be as poor as the cleaning staff

This is a great place to stop, with clean rooms and helpful staff, the food was enjoyable with a good selection too. Close to amenities with just a 15 minute walk into the centre of Cambridge. Value for Money. For Group bookings the process can be a little laboured which means having to speak to the online booking team to adjust individual days in a bespoke way. Make sure you speak to the group booking team to book your larger groups in.

A really great hotel to explore Cambridge and the surrounding areas from. The room was excellent and as ever very comfortable. The facilities were great. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent value for money.

Incredibly disappointed with the service. Noone is ever on reception. Tried for days to ring and no one picks up the phone. Needed to borrow an iron before an event and couldn't find anyone to ask even with hanging around the lobby. No answer for ages on the buzzer from the car park. Rooms were clean and comfy, if rather too warm, but expected more honestly.
