Basic hotel, but all you need and friendly staff. Food very good and portions HUGE! Surprising terrace garden with views over the roof tops to the harbour. My shower tray was not draining properly but as soon as I reported this it was fixed. Dinning room and bar area very noisy due to hard floors and echo.

I returned with another fishing party of 8 and we received another lovely welcome from this comfortable Hotel. The staff are friendly and great fun. Nothing is too much trouble. Well stocked bar, good food and clean, comfortable rooms. Thank you. We will return!

10 minute walk from the wonderful harbour. Clean rooms if slightly dated, very nice bar & very helpful staff. Very nice breakfast & again very nice helpful staff. We stayed here for a 4 day fishing trip from Poole to Alderney & it suited fine. No safes in the rooms which i think would have been nice addition. The bar...

Decided to pull a four night stay in Alderney as a mid holiday break of a 17 night Guernsey/Alderney holiday. To be honest I wasn't expecting much, bearing in mind Alderney is only 3.5 x 1.5 miles and lets be honest, not a top listing tourist destination... Couldn't have been more wrong, the staff were friendly & welcoming, once booked...

I've stopped at this hotel a few more times this year, and it just keeps delivering! New manager Steve and his wife Timar and their young team have rejuvenated the place; the warmth of welcome couldn't be better, the rooms are still clean and comfortable, the service impeccable, and the food excellent and plentiful. Again, nothing was too much trouble...

We booked the Harbour Lights Hotel for 9 nights. Seven nights were booked in the upstairs suite and the remaining two night were in the family room number 2, due to availability. The first breath I feel when you arrive in Alderney is that you are no longer involved in the "rat race" of life, take a deep breath, relax...

We recently returned from our third stay at Harbour Lights Hotel. We enjoyed all our stays there - the food was excellent, the staff were friendly and obliging and our room was fine. Alderney is a beautiful and interesting island and the islanders are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally situated between St Anne and the harbour, both...

Myself and 7 mates stayed at the Harbour Lights Hotel while on a fishing holiday, Steve (the manager) and his wife (chef) could not have been more helpful, we asked for an earlier breakfast than published so we could get on to our boat and go fishing, no problem was the reply and what would you like? We chose the...

One of the few hotels on the island, it seemed a bit tired - we noted that it is up for sale. It is located midway between the town of St Anne (wow – what a steep climb up to it) and the beach. Our room was small, - there was no room to put the one fold-up chair provided...

Thank you for your review, I shall pass on your feedback to the housekeeper. There is a path to town which is not at all steep as it meanders through the woods behind the hotel and brings you out close to town and conveniently next to a public garden with seating, if needed! Our residents lounge has never been closed...

Overall 'OK' and pleasant experience. The hotel looks a little boring/bland (is up for sale). Dining room is very noisy. Rooms were OK, Dinner and breakfast was OK. Staff was friendly. Wifi works but was not really fast. This hotel deserves an enthusiastic new owner.

Thank you for your review. The original hotel was built in 1857 but 7 years ago it was getting tired so we took the decision to knock it down and rebuild it using the same footprint so it looks as it did in 1857. The Bistro can be noisy at times such is its popularity but if you prefer to...
