Excellent location in the centre of Chester opposite the amphitheatre. Near all the shops, bars and restaurants, ideal for a weekend break. However there is nowhere to park they recommend the pepper street ncp car park where it's around £10 to park overnight. It has the tightest spaces I've ever seen in a car park impossible to get into. The...

I thought this was good value for money and would definitely stay over again in this Travelodge. You can't park your car though so I can't give 5 stars. We parked in Pepper Street which is only a few minutes walk. You will pay £12.20 but on the upside if you want to see the sites or shop the next...

Great location, in the centre of Chester close to shops, bars, restaurants, the river and tourist attractions. It overlooks the amphitheatre and roman gardens. Good value for money, clean and identical to other travelodges! Would stay here again

Stayed here a week and the floor was not cleaned the whole week and was dirty when I arrived. The curtains didn't shut out the light. The tv was too small and lack of channels made it unwatchable. Evidence of previous occupants was still there when I left

Cons - air con must b stuck . Continuous cool draft in room . Heater in room , prob for this reason . Had to wear fleece in room . Hotel backs on to a pub . Occasional late night noise 11- 12 midnight . Front desk cover not continuous .Slight odour on entering room (?) windows don't open. Pros...

Travelodge usually delivers against expectation, and the Chester central hotel was no exception. No frills, but a clean and reasonably quiet room, very comfortable bed and great location. Yes, totally impersonal and characterless, but what do you expect for 2 nights for just over £100 in a city centre 5 minutes from the cathedral?

This hotel does what it says on the tin. The rooms are quaint but functional, yet i found this hotel a bit noisy during the night. It was cheap and very well situated therefore i can make allowances for this. Just be aware of what sort of night you will be having if you are to book! Good piont is...

Stayed one night in early February. The room was tidy and clean but there was a distinct smell of bile and I can only guess a guest had previously been sick in the room and the smell was still around. The room was quite cold too as there was no heating and the air con unit only blew cold air....

Not a family hotel. Family room was big but heating not adequate for size of room. We had a nine week old baby and room was freezing as only a little plug in heater available as air con unit only blew cold air. No extra bedding available in room. Loud music from bar next door til the early hours. Television...

The chester central is in a ideal location , central to every thing, shops , wall etc. Hotel always clean and tidy , rooms good value for what you pay.No parking but you get 20% off at the near by multi story car park. Probably the cheapest hotel in chester.
