Just called in for a drink and it was brilliant. Really good staff and service with a gorgeous setting. Need to try the food now as it looked incredibly appetising when we were there. Seemed quiet but got busier just as we were leaving for a private function.

A fabulous place to stay if you're visiting Chester. Right in the centre by the cathedral. Only a small number of rooms but they are big and spacious. We were made very welcome by the staff (especially Phil) who provided an excellent service. A lovely selection for breakfast. No parking on-site but there is a car park about 100m away.

Had the most amazing evening here with two of my friends. The staff are very attentive and helpful and the food is amazing. Lots of choice on the men to please even the most fussy eaters. As we couldn't decide what starters to have we chose 3 and shared them, pate with orange Cointreau, chicken and sweet corn potato cake...

A lovely welcome from all members of staff started our evening, followed up by a relaxed atmosphere in a lovely setting. The meal was fantastic, we had baked Camembert, Pesto chicken pasta and pie of the day, follow by sundaes. All were excellent in both taste and value for money! Would definitely come again when visiting Chester again, highly recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting a friend. The room was lovely and spacious and had a great view of the cathedral opposite. However, the bed was more like a hammock as it sagged in the middle making it an uncomfortable nights sleep. I had mentioned to the hotel via email that I am dairy and gluten free however,...
