I've stayed in lots of hotels in Chester as I have family there, and granted the room was only £50 and I wasn't expecting miracles but it was a disaster from start to finish. The room we had was on the first floor and was opposite the landing door which slammed shut with the loudest bang ever. In the room...

I stayed here for a night for a business trip. I had a ground floor room which was VERY spacious and roomy with a large double bed and plenty of storage space. The decor was old but that was okay. The bathroom was also large with a reasonable shower. It's about 5 minute's walk to Chester station and about 15...

We booked a room from 28th of January till 30th of January. After book they sent us an email the hotel will finish work and they cancelled our booking. This was not our fault but we Still Have not got Our Money Back! Be careful if you want to book at Stafford Hotel!

Where to start?! From the beginning I guess. I was back in Chester last weekend visiting old friends and needed somewhere cheap and quite central to stay, so The Stafford Hotel looked ideal given the room was only £40. It goes without saying the hotel is absolutely revolting, but no more so than I was already expecting. When my friend...

Stayed here last weekend with friends, arriving on Friday night for a two night stay. Parking was horrendous (but not much the Hotel can do about that). Rang the bell to be admitted and we were left waiting for a while and it was very cold that night. The door was eventually opened by a very pleasant lady who apologized...

After arriving a bit early check in wasn't allowed (which was understandable) so we went shopping arriving back there at 415 To be told they were overbooked and only had one double room available or we could share the "hen suite" as it had 2 rooms (there was 4 of us) after alot of conversation they decided we could have...

I only read the reviews on this hotel a few hours before I was due to check in, "people just like to complain, be positive". my other half said, so here is my positive review: The bathroom & sheets were clean and the receptionists polite. The receptionist was not lying when she told me twice that porridge was available for...

This place is so run down & under staffed that it needs closed down. Shabby furnishings, paper hanging off ceilings, damp smell, burnt out light fitting and so on. Breakfast was a bowl of cereal & some limp processed cheese & ham for toast. Choose another place to stay whatever you do!

“We stayed in a family room number 18 this was on the front and we didn't mind as we laughed hearing people make their way back to the train station at the end of the night. If its quiet rooms then you need the other side of the hotel facing onto the canal at the back as the front is very busy until the early hours of the morning.”
