This was probably our eighth visit to this beautiful old Manor House over the last 3 years. We will never use a Travel Lodge in the Chester area again ! The Balcony Room is our favourite it is spacious, superb view of the rear lawn & garden with the most comfortable bed we have ever encountered in a hotel. We...

Managed to book this place at quite short notice as we had left it a bit late. Most places in Chester were booked up so were quite relieved when we found this place. When we arrived we couldn't believe how lucky we were. This place is steeped in history. Our room was awash with oak beams dating back to the...

We booked because of the location as we wanted to visit Chester Zoo. We had a lovely room with a balcony. The house was quite impressive and steeped with history. Our room had a curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom area. The bathroom also had some personal items such as half used shampoo in the cupboards. Breakfast was good...

Everything about The Manor is memorable. Our room was large warm and lovely. The humongous bed was squidgy and super comfy. Breakfast was yummy....hot and plentiful. Sammie is the star of the show.,nothing is too much trouble and she made us feel so welcome. She also has a quirky and funny sense of humour....loved it. If you're thinking of booking.......don't.......just...

Pretty disappointed overall with our weekend stay here. The building and location were beautiful and the owner was lovely and helpful with places to visit. I found the room beautiful but the bed was hard, the kettle didn't work properly, the iron was damaged and leaked, my partner kept hitting his head on the low bathroom door( no warning signs)...

This is the third time we have stayed here and yet again it was a great stay. We stayed in the balcony room which has a fantastic large bed, it also has a large bathroom with a spa bath which is great for relaxing in after a day's shopping in Chester which is only a 5 minute drive away. As...

Went for the weekend, was a great place to stay and could easily get in contact with Sam and John if we needed something. They were both pleasent, helpful, and could help you with anything you needed during your stay. Breakfast was nice as the full english had good quality meat. Will be staying again soon hopefully! We stayed one night at the Manor in the lovely beamed master bedroom, it has loads of space and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is spacious and has a view over the garden. The sitting room is a delight too. Sammie made us very welcome and served a delicious cooked breakfast. The Manor is a beautiful old building with...
