Sadly very disappointed with our stay here. The first time i've had to write a negative review here I think! The website looks fantastic in the photos but that's not the reality. It's really quite run down & the rooms were not clean. The decor was tired, there were damp patches, stains on walls & damage all over the hotel...

Our rooom was very pretty and comfortable, nice room for breakfast. We have also been here several times for early breakfast after getting off the night train but sadly we were told this is not available to non residents any more until after 9am. So we won't be returning - shame since they were not busy but a new 'can't...

Let me start with the Positives! Staff were very friendly and helpful. No signage on the outside that this property was a hotel -- nowhere name of The Falmouth Townhouse Hotel to be seen anywhere. Entering the hotel one feels entering some dodgy, rather tired, clubby sort of a place--dimly lit with a small cubby hole for reception lit by...

We booked this very last minute to spend time in Falmouth where our son is at university. The location is really central and we had the most amazing view of the harbour from our room. Spacious room with retro furniture and huge bathroom; all was clean. There was a little street noise at night but this is to be expected...

This hotel was very poor value for money. The whole hotel both public areas and the room was shabby in the extreme. The carpets were in bad need of replacement and the whole hotel badly needed redecorating. Our room was a reasonable size but the furniture looked as if it had come out of a house clearance. The bedroom chair...

Very basic facilities, shabby dark & depressing Decor. No evidence of health & safety - fire door didn't close, stair light not working, stair tread broken. Our superior room had broken toilet seat, broken blind & tv remote kept malfunctioning. No wardrobe just a recess with small hanging rail & no drawer space - unable to unpack. Bar shabby, dirty...

Good service, friendly staff and good location. Competent hotel but insensitive to lower level noise. Positioned facing the harbour this hotel is perfectly placed from the main shopping / tourists area.

The Falmouth Townhouse was a last minute booking for me, I came for the university open day travelling alone from Manchester, this was my first time visiting Cornwall. Upon arrival I was seen to right away and checked in with no fuss whatsoever. I stayed in room 4, the room was beautifully decorated with a cosy retro feel to it...

I strongly disagree with the poor ratings that have been left for the Falmouth Town house! I found the staff excellent and the building is lovely. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was delicious. I regularly stay in hotels with business and would recommend this one to anybody

I feel I understand what the hotel is supposed to represent, Shabby Chic, but unfortunately the Townhouse is now more Shabby than Chic. Have stayed there on two occasions recently, in two different rooms and there were maintenance issues in both rooms, bath and sink plugs not working, having to roll the blind by hand as the cord was detached....
