Stayed in a lovely triple room, really spacious, comfortable beds and very clean. Pretty location and well kept grounds - good pool facilities. Great full English! All staff encountered were friendly and helpful - would stay again!

Very pleasant 3 night stay at this charming hotel. Room clean and pleasant, general maintenance and service good. Breakfast freshly cooked to order with a good choice of dishes - particularly liked scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Did not dine in main restaurant (quite expensive) but did avail ourselves of the bar menu which had a variety of choices all... More

On arrival the receptionist was friendly and polite, and we were given our room keys and towel cards for using in the gym/pool. Our room, number 24 fyi, was a lovely big room, clean and tidy. One double bed and a single. There were 3 armchairs, a desk, a dressing table, a chest of drawers, a TV and a fridge.... More

After traveling half way across the country to enjoy a short break before visiting family we arrived at Penmere Manor hotel .We were shown to a poky room with a cupboard for an on-suite. The bed was only a few inches of the floor and the curtain over the bath was stained. The room was generally grotty. Luckily we were... More

Shower noisy and out of the ark. Probably 1970s. No mixer tap, shower door did not even have runners just fixed at the top !!!!! Next room's shower audible and vice versa. No way a 3 star hotel. Staff slow to clean up, after another guest threw up in corridor. No lift. No help with cases. Steps. And more steps.... More

Firstly the bar staff on duty 19.08.16 needs to learn to smile, really offish, like she didn't want to be there. Room nice initially, bad location of room as we found out Saturday night. Constant noise outside from people leaving a party, which was late, but hey ho, let it pass, then guest checking in at 3.15am, trawling cases upstairs... More

What can I say... The location was ok The site externally was nice The price was super expensive The breakfast was minimum but fresh The staff were lovely, pleasant and helpful The decor was aged and dated The room was clean but basic I would not return unless they spent some money bringing the hotel up to date. Carpets were... More

We were going to a wedding in St Ives and accommodation in St Ives was in very short supply. Booked Penmere Manor in Falmouth as a base. On arriving I thought it looked a bit like a home of some sort and the reception reminded me a little of Fawlty Towers. However all the staff from reception, bar, restaurant and... More

We have stayed here numerous times over the last 4 years with mixed experiences every time. I know that the owners or management recently changed and that they are no longer affiliated with best Western which may not be a good thing . This hotel has such potential, it's got everything that is needed for a first class hotel it... More
