The hotel is in a good position on the beach and close to the town but room had seen better days. The room was large and warm, but our "Garden view" was the roof of the kitchen with extractor pipes and vents. The bathroom was large but in desperate need of ripping out. Badly siliconed taps with mould around them,... More

First time stay for the New Year Gala dinner and dance. The dinning room had been transformed into a ballroom with tables of 10 circulated around all dressed in black and white v impressive. Lovely hotel, room v comfortable with a sea view, as the view is spectacular especially this year due to the high winds and high seas lashing... More

My girlfriend and I stayed on New Years Eve as we were visiting friends in town. We were really pleased when we walked I go the hotel and saw our room. Great view of the harbour and of the sea, spacious and comfortable. Free wifi throughout and room service breakfast simply carried a £1.50 tray charge (I get annoyed when... More

We stayed for 2 nights between Xmas and New Year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was large and very comfortable and being a corner room on the 4th floor had views of both the sea front and the town. Staff were really helpful and polite in all areas. The food was beautiful and a nice choice on both... More

A lovely hotel right by the sea. Made quite special by the windy weather making it quite cosy. The room was lovely but the mattress needs to be changed as it was quite lumpy. There aren't enough sofa's in the bar area which is a shame as we struggled and could see others struggling to find seating. The staff were... More

What an amazing location this 1970s era seaside grand palace style hotel occupies. Airless and carpeted and tired and you'll get the picture. Shocking beds that had to be changed. Restaurant that had lovely staff but a complete absence of organisation. The tragedy of this place is that they really do have great staff but clearly the owners (Richardson Hotels)... More
