A refreshingly different hotel with access to several features in the property - go lose yourself in the library, or rekindle your piano-playing skills in the hall! Altogether a wonderful retreat, but within easy walking distance to the vibrant seaside town of Looe.

Short walk down the hill to Looe makes this a good location to stay at. Charming and friendly couple who run the place and will try very hard to make sure that you are comfortable and have all you need. It is a B&B though and not a hotel so some elements of service are not there, like cleaning the...

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review of your stay at Commonwood and for the positive feedback you gave. You make some very valid points about the servicing - especially after a stay which is longer than 2 nights and this is something which I will be discussing with our staff next week - a...

This is a lovely place to stop in Cornwall. My sister was staying here I only visited for the day. Staff are very welcoming to non residents & it has a home from home feel. Thank you for being so welcoming, 5 stars well deserved.

Lovely room, spotlessly clean and we had a river view. Breakfast was excellent. From the minute we booked in we were made to feel very welcome. No hesitation in recommending. The location was good ... only a short walk downhill to the beach, restaurants, etc. Excellent value for money.

Just returned from a two night stay with Simon and Louise and absolutely loved it. They are so welcoming and take time to show you around the house and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The hotel is finished to a very high standard with the rooms being exceptionally clean along with all the communal areas....

Wanted to give my other half a more luxurious hotel experience than previous getaways & chose this hotel mainly on reviews & location. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts who gave us a brief history of the building, before showing us to our room. Having arrived at least an hour earlier than planned we were immediately offered an upgrade,...

We stayed with Simon, Louise and their son James last weekend and had the most fabulous experience. Everything from accommodating a change of dates last minute through to sending on some headphones after our stay, which our daughter left behind, this family know how to look after people. The building itself is stunning and the views are to die for......
