My wife and I stayed with Tracey for 3 nights in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mousehole is fatally quaint but a little tricky to ingress/egress. It has a number of great restaurants near the property and is a good base to explore the area. Tracey is a friendly hostess to the point of allowing us to use her parking space in the lot down the street (No parking at the property except to load/unload at the B&B) as competition was fierce. Our room was "The Garret" and was tastefully decorated with plenty of room to spread out, albeit with a sloping ceiling. Bed was comfortable; windows allowed cross-ventilation (+there is a fan) and the rain on the roof was soothing. The ensuite was modern with nice toiletries and a heated towel rack. Breakfast was more than you could really eat, but you were tempted anyway as it was delicious. We had it indoors all 3 days as it rained off and on during our stay. Strong wifi and a very quiet area. Great restaurants within several blocks (Make reservations) and Tracey was helpful in making recommendations for them and for things to see in the region. Ensure that your GPS is up to snuff as ours seemed to have challenges and small town streets don't allow much for error. Definitely would stay there again.

I don't know that I have ever read TA reviews that were ALL 5 star until I viewed The Old Pilchard Works in Mousehole, Cornwall UK. I stayed for two nights in September 2022 and now I know why. Seriously, I cannot say enough or add anything to the wonderful reviews previously posted except to echo that Tracey is meticulous in cleanliness, fun classy decor, toiletries all eco friendly and high quality, comfortable bedding, quiet, oh and the inclusive breakfast: healthy options , seasonal, promptly delivered on time and the perfect portion size served in a charming country crate, small crocks, pitchers. Delicious coffee/tea provided in the room and homemade shortbread cookies daily....oh my! I had planned walks and due to stormy weather Tracey advised and urged me to take a different path providing detailed instructions. I could continue but I believe if you have read this to the end and are planning on visiting Cornwall you will book with The Old Pilchard Works because you would be a fool not to!

We were really warmly welcomed by Tracey on arrival for our 3 night stay in “the Garret”. First impressions were that the accommodation was immaculately presented with lovely small touches that were a delight! (Fresh flowers, excellent coffee, home made cookies and lovely room decor.)
There were also all of the accessories that make a stay even better such as the hairdryer, a room fan, excellent towels and bedding, wifi, iPad, and streaming services on the tv.
To top it all off, especially in these pandemic times, the room was exceptionally clean which gave us the trust that all of the covid precautions were being taken seriously so that we could relax and enjoy our stay in this “beautiful coastal village.
After a great nights sleep x3 we had various combinations of the excellent breakfast in our room each day(we did have a choice to eat in the garden too!)
The triple aspect of the windows in the Garret” room are lovely, So much light! And a sailing boat moored just outside the harbour was a bonus view on day two!
We’ve read the other reviews, and couldn’t agree more with all of the positive comments.
We had such a wonderful stay and as we said on departure, please let us know if you get “any” cancellations in the next 4 weeks, because it is more than worth the 6-8 hour journey to stay.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Wish it was longer. The positioning is perfect in this beautiful little town. Accommodation is of a high standard, with quality linens towels etc, and access to Netflix and other streaming services if you need it. The wonderful hostess Tracey is charming, witty and a great source of local knowledge. Breakfast is top quality too. We stayed in the Garret room the bathroom is on the lower floor so if you don’t enjoy going up and down stairs please note. Will 100% stay here again next time we are in the area

If you are planning a visit to Mousehole, (Penzance) Cornwall then do stay at The Old Pilchard Works! Your host Tracey is the best! She greeted us with warm homemade cookies and it only got better! A delightful self contained room The Garret was our home for two nights - tastefully furnished (greys and whites) to a very high standard with fresh flowers, we were very comfortable. The amazing breakfast (ordered the night before) is brought on a tray to be eaten in the room or the garden (weather permitting). Soft fluffy towels and robes made the bathroom experience really special. All in all The Old Pilchard Works gets A* from us!!

Have stayed in Mousehole before but this was the first time at The Old Pilchard Works. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very fresh and modern. The bathroom had one of the best showers we have come across in a long time. Tracey, our host, is lovely and so helpful. Breakfast is delivered to the room but is very good and the rooms have a small table and chairs to make breakfast a comfortable affair.
Parking is in a nearby car park which can get busy although there is another car park a bit further away. At only £3 a day it is very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this b&b and we will most certainly stay there again if we return to Mousehole. Thank you Tracey!

We were lucky enough to book two nights in December and can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Mousehole. Tracey was so friendly and helpful, the room was incredibly clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We had also had a fantastic sea view from our room (we stayed in the Garrett). We loved seeing the famous harbour Christmas lights and really enjoyed the Christmassy touches in our room. We really hope to come back and stay again in 2022.

The delightful Garden Room has been styled and finished to a high standard and it was also exceptionally clean and well presented.
It had pretty much everything we needed (incl great coffee machine, tv with Netflix, huge comfy bed, soft fluffy towels, powerful shower and multiple sockets) - though you do have to share a communal fridge outside of the property to get milk and mineral water.
The added extras such as shortbread biscuits, natural bath products and robes were a lovely touch!
Tracey was a warm and welcoming host who couldn't do enough to help - especially when it came to the tricky parking situation! The car parks were very busy and it was a bit stressful navigating around the other cars in the narrow streets, but we eventually managed to find a spot on the hill to park for free.
Breakfast exceeded our expectations, portions were very generous, the food delicious and it was so beautifully presented each morning.
The only minor negative was that the room did get rather hot and the duvet was quite heavy for this time of year but but a fan was provided, and of course we could open the window.
We really enjoyed our 2 nights here and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Mousehole.

My partner and I had the most wonderful stay here. We were greeted by the lovely owners who were always on hand to offer advice on what to do and where to go and they were incredibly helpful. The location was spot on with just a short walk down to the beautiful sea front and harbour.

The room and bathroom were clean and modern and the bed was very comfy. One of our favourite parts about our trip was the delicious breakfast that was bought to us each morning. It really was so fresh and tasty and kept you going for most of the day.

We will definitely be looking to come and stay here again next time we visit Cornwall.

Thank you for a lovely stay!

We stopped with Tracey in the garret room. The bathroom is downstairs but purely for your room and the room is upstairs. There was everything you needed, including, robes, TV, coffee machine and some wonderful biscuits, which my husband ate all of them. The room is beautifully clean and the bed very comfortable, breakfast was lovely which you order by text and Tracey leaves it at the bottom of your room in a box. We ate in our room which there is a lovely table provided. Everything in the breakfast was delicious and especially the toast. Tracey couldn't do enough for us and is very friendly and helpful. Its a beautiful bnb in a beautiful village and would happily go again.
