We spent a very pleasant hour having tea and cake in this very well presented, friendly establishment. I have been assured by a close friend that the vegan/vegitarian food is very good as well as the traditional menu. Hope to return there again soon to try more of whats is available on the menu. They even do gluten free cakes !!

We received a warm welcome. The room was small, but had all the things needed. However, the bathroom needs some attention. It was a challenge to switch the lights on and off and the toilet flush was not working properly. Furthermore, we had to pay extra for breakfast and it was rather disappointing compared to other places we stayed. All in all we would have been satisfied with the quality of the stay, if they would charge less for the room.

I ran across this B&B when I was planning a short trip to Mousehole. Tremayne turned out to be a great find. The hosts are very accommodating, food was great and the location is perfect being only steps to the harbor front. I would stay here again if I am back in the area.

Our foreign holiday was cancelled last minute, so we decided, like many others, to spend some time in the UK and decided on Cornwall. When we came to book accommodation there wasn’t a great deal of choice but we wanted to stay in Mousehole and Tremayne B&B looked okay. There was only two of us but the family room was the only room available. I had read some previous reviews on TripAdviser and someone had complained about the carpet being wet, which the owner said was due to the previous family flooding the shower room. As we were staying in September we thought this would be sorted by then. We arrived and managed to park outside and the owner showed us to the room. The room is quite large and spacious with a double bed and bunk beds. Unfortunately there was an overpowering smell of bleach, which was probably why the windows were open. The furniture is quite old fashioned and not really suitable for the type of room e.g. half sized wardrobe and a full length mirror on a stand, which would be much better suited fixed to the wall. There seemed to be a blue nautical theme in the room but it was inconsistent - the bed linen didn’t match and the curtains and carpet were brown. Even the wast paper basket was broken - surely it wouldn’t cost much to replace. The shower room was spacious and the shower was lovely. We didn’t notice the wet carpet at first and then I realised my socks were wet! We didn’t see the owner straight away but when we did see him and mentioned that there was a leak and the carpet was wet, he said that there had been a flood and the water was under the tiles. We found this strange as we thought it would have dried out and would not still be making the carpet wet. As the carpet was wet there was also a damp smell in the room. I went to open the shower room window, which was not frosted and over looked a courtyard and was astonished to see dried dog poo everywhere! This was absolutely disgusting and could and should so easily be cleared up but for some reason it wasn’t. The B&B is also a cafe and has tables and chairs outside on the front courtyard. Simple things like weeding the front courtyard and sweeping it each night would make such a difference to customers first impressions. You can see from the front of the building it all needs some TLC - painting the front would make such a difference. The B&B is in a great location just 2 minutes walk to the harbour and it was really quiet and tranquil but sadly we would not stay at Tremayne B&B again. We understand that the B&B has been busy and the owner hasn’t had time to sort out the water/carpet problem but they should not be letting out the room in this condition and if they do they should at least warn customers and perhaps reduce the bill!

Cobwebs everywhere, all hanging over the bed. Room was filthy. Spiders everywhere. Could tell it hasn't been cleaned or dusted in months. Paid less for much nicer stays. Paid extra for breakfast even though it's a bed and breakfast - breakfast is helping yourself to bread and toasting it yourself, cereal, yogurt and fruit juice and fruit. They charge £5pp for this. You could buy all of the products including an entire loaf of bread, two boxes of cereal, milk etc all for under a fiver. When you consider there's three rooms, two people usually per room, that's £30 a day! Booked here because they advertise free parking. Three spaces for three rooms but we didn't get a space once and had to pay £9 a day for parking. 2 out of the three spaces were taken up by the owners' vehicles. By far the worst accommodation we've ever stayed in, and I say that having stayed in £10 hostels which were significantly cleaner. Very concerning particularly during Covid that rooms aren't being cleaned at all. Cobwebs don't materialise after a few days of not cleaning, it's literally spider webs that have decayed over months and gather dust. Beds were uncomfortable. No hosting by owners at all. Absolutely not meeting Covid guidelines. Heating permanently on. Like many others we found the toilets didn't flush properly. Check booking.com for other more recent reviews as there aren't as many on here. Honestly avoid at all costs. Better to stay out of town and get the bus in if you can't stay somewhere else.

I found Kevin, the owner of Tremayne BnB, very inflexible and unreasonable when I tried to cancel my booking. I was charged £90 for cancelling the room because it was within 14 days of the booking, despite the fact that it was still 10 days away and I had only booked the day before. This is a lot of money to lose on a booking that they would easily have been able to fill. I also explained that I was unable to travel for health reasons. This is really poor customer service - it’s infuriating when businesses hide behind policies and don’t assess cases on an individual, reasonable basis and I found Kevin unpleasant to deal with. This BnB already has bad reviews and they certainly don’t help themselves.

The whole place was a little tired. The room we had was damp and smelt musty. The bed too felt damp and had seen better days. Breakfast was fine and the hosts were very pleasant. Car parking was limited but we managed to get in the car park along the road.

I had the misfortune to spend two nights at this establishment in August. My room was pokey and shabby, the plug in the wash basin didn't fit so I was unable to keep water in the basin, there was no bath mat, I had to ask for another blanket as there wasn't one provided and the one that was given to me was full of holes. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before and was also cooked the night before and reheated in the morning - it was a very limited affair. Any request was met by negativity and the owners were clearly unable to cope with running a B&B establishment. The Tremayne guest house was vastly overpriced and sub standard. I would not recommend staying here.

Arrived by Train from London- Penzance for four night stay 6th. - 9th. June, two adults and child in family room. Shower tray had hair and scum in it, blinds to bay window and bathroom covered in weeks of dust and fluff. Child is mildly asthsmatic. Owner Kevin looked at room and stated cleaner was very elderly but he would get her back to clean up. We then went out for a meal. On getting into bed later on noticed small black hairs stuck to bottom sheet. Wife and I slept with clothes on. Cobwebs in corners of room. Sheets and pillow cases not ironed and not laundered properly. Towels in bathroom like cardboard, very old and rough. Had breakfast (cold plates and lukewarm food). There was food scatttered on floor from day before. Decided to leave with nowhere to go. Kevin wanted full payment for night ((£110)which I paid in cash. Overpriced and unclean. Kevin suggested we ought to have stayed in a hotel.
