Detailed Reviews
We came to Lyndale with two sets of friends so had free run of the B&B. Beautifully presented, clean, modern, bright and with excellent parking. Superb breakfasts with unassuming but perfect service. Nothing was too much trouble and there was complete flexibility.
Good value for money given the level of service and its location --- we came for the magic of the Mousehole lights and were certainly not disappointed. A very special place at a very special time of year. First rate.

What a lovely guest house , incredibly pleasent owner and in the lovely village of Mousehole. Great if you are driving as there is free car park , which is a huge bonus in the old , narrow street village! yet only a 5 minute walk downhill.
The house was spotless , clean and very nicely decorated. A truly wonderful place to stay. Dont hesitate , just book!!

We booked a mid week break for ourselves, my parents and our son. Fiona the owner was great throughout and really helpful and the location is brilliant and only a 5 minute walk to the village centre down the hill. With plenty of parking this is a rarity in Mousehole in high season.
The only things I would point out are that the driveway is very steep and is difficult to navigate and there is a low wall part way up to be aware of. I had to reverse up due to traffic in the lane in front and behind me and could not see it but then most people would be able to go forwards and see it. The other thing is that if you want a cooked breakfast, ask for it the day before, we were not aware and had to settle for the continental option. I would however say that this was not a problem as the saffron Buns were incredible, as well as having a great selection of cereals, toast, croissants and much more.
The property was well appointed, clean and bright.
We will definitely go back as love the area and this place was a good find!

We celebrated a big wedding anniversary by hiking on the SW Costal Path...several sections from Lands End to Penzance. We made Lynnvale B&B our headquarters for three nights. Fiona is a wonderful owner who seems to derive immense pleasure from greeting and caring for her guests. We LOVED the breakfast room and it sunny view, and getting to know other guests. Only 3 guest rooms so even when the place is full its not overwhelming. We got off the train from London in Penzance and grabbed a bus to Mousehole. We walked up hill, probably less than a half mile to Fiona's place. Mousehole was, for us, the perfect town, aside from the fact there was no actual bank with a cash machine that would accept US debit cards. Our only "criticism" is that if you are a light sleeper you may here guests heading toward the bathroom down the hall. (Our room had its own toilet, sink, shower.

I have just stayed at Lynvale for a few nights and can't recommend it highly enough. We had the room at the front and could see the sea from our bed! The house has a lovely clean, contemporary, fresh feel. We stayed when the owner was away, but her wonderful parents who live down the road popped in to look after us. They were so warm and accommodating...we really didn't want to leave! You can make your own tea and hot chocolate in the front room. There's even a chaise-longue where you can perch and watch the seagulls and boats in the distance. The house is in a great location up a hill on the outskirts of Mousehole. it is really useful having a place where you can park because parking in the village is sometimes a bit tricky. All in all a great value, lovely place to stay.

My husband and I visited Mousehole, England, in April 2013. Lynvale was the perfect choice at the perfect location. The house is completely modernized and very clean and comfortable. Fiona was a very personable host, and it felt like we were visiting her as her special guests in her home. The location is great because Mousehole is on a hill, and the streets are very narrow and hard to navigate. Fiona is located at the top of the hill in the outskirts of the town, so all you have to do is park in her driveway, and then walk down the hill to the center of town. The breakfast room is also a sitting room with a big window that overlooks the town. Fiona made us a wonderful full English breakfast which was the most artistic of our trip, and also delicious. I highly recommend Lynvale B&B.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights at Lynvale B&B. We came in the evening, and almost missed the sign for Lynvale! Glad we didn't, because Mousehole is probably one of the hilliest cities I have been in, probably more so than San Francisco! Even though I wasn't driving, I was probably white knuckled the whole time.
That aside, there was a mix-up when we arrived- we were double booked for the night, but Fiona quickly did up her bedroom for us to use while she slept in her daughter's room - so nice of her to do so. The rest of the time, we stayed in the Boatshed room, which had a bathroom across the hallway. Room had a nice sea view, and the bed was so comfortable. The B&B is a nice walk to the harbour, or a short walk up to Paul. Breakfasts were amazing and very filling- scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, full English breakfasts - although some days I ended up opting for a lighter breakfast since we ate out so much in the town! (there was lots of fruit and muesli available as well).
Fiona was lovely as well, making sure we were well taken care of - when we went to the Minack Theatre she loaned us a sleeping bag and cushions.
Otherwise - Lynvale B&B is spacious, super clean, and so serene - extremely relaxing. I would fully recommend it!
As per other reviews, beware of the very steep driveway into the B&B - but note that the rest of Mousehole is just as steep!

We spent our wedding anniversary at Lynvale. Fiona is the perfect host and the house is an ideal location. Stunning views, from a lovely, clean and well provisioned property. The room was ideal and the location was quiet with commanding views of the sea. Rarest of rare, for coastal accommodation, Lynvale has excellent parking facilities. It might seem trivial, but I live near Port Isaac (north Cornish coast) and parking in these little fishing villages in high season can be a nightmare.

We booked this B&B only the day before we were due to arrive and were not disappointed. As other reviewers have said ..Fiona makes you feel instantly at home and nothing is too much trouble. Our young daughter even had a cuddley toy to take to bed with her to make her feel at home! Fiona's breakfast was very yummy and set us up for the day ahead. A lovely find and well positioned to explore what Mousehole has to offer.

I must write about this fantastic stay with Fiona and her daughter in Mousehole. We spent four nights here and we really loved it. Beautiful view from the rooms and Fiona's hospitality made the stay wonderful. There are a lot of great places to visit around Mousehole, and we did. We would very much want to come back and we would be very happy if you Fiona and your daughter would like to visit us in Sweden. Britt-Marie, Tore, Berit and Kent.
