Detailed Reviews
Absolutely brilliant 7 night stay at Boswarthen Farm. The safari tent and hot tub were unbelievably kitted out. Maddy and Adrian were the loveliest hosts, so welcoming, always on hand if needed and full of great local knowledge.
We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (10,7) and visited St Michaels Mount (superb) and the Eden project (very good) as well as Sennen Cove, Penzance harbour and fitting in a cinema trip and the local arcade. So much to do and we definately didn’t have enough time!
We toasted s’mores, enjoyed the wood fired oven cooking delicious meals and making the tent so warm and cosy later in the evening but the highlight has to be the stew pot hired from the farm - you can book in advance - amazing food!
The wood fired hot tub was wonderful and a hit with the kids as well. Once you get the hang of getting the fire going it’s really easy to heat it up and retains heat amazingly well overnight.
We all slept miles better than normal and the tents go pitch black if you want them to so no worrying about the kids not sleeping.
We will be back without a doubt!

Booked very last minute (day before visiting) and feel hugely fortunate to have done so. Visiting with 2 adult children we stayed in the gypsy caravan and bell tent, which were amazing. The tent was a little warm in mornings but temperatures were 28+ outside. We had our own toilet, sink and little kitchen shed as well as barbecue/fire pit with wood supplies. The shared showers were very clean, worked well and great water pressure . The little shop had everything we needed (local beer & burgers, ketchup, marshmallows, loo roll etc. All in all a great site with good amenities, views and easy to reach beaches etc. Maddy and Adrian were very welcoming and helpful, thank you both.

We are a family of 4 (kids age 4 & 6). We had such fun on the farm. Our girls loved this chickens, and grew to love the neighborhood sheep. Such a wonderful location, great views, lovely hot tub, perfectly clean tent, everything you needed was available. 10-15mins to the coast in almost any direction. The oil lamps and candles were fun, the wood ovens were great, quick and simple and effective. A truly unique experience for us and our girls. Maddie was fab during our stay, giving us tips and kindly helping out with anything we needed including fresh bedding for our youngest once. Highly recommend this. Suggest to bring your own torches (although Maddie has some available at the shop) and maybe a battery pack to charge your phone (these were the only things we missed). Thanks Maddie and family!

Our family stayed in the gypsy caravan/bell tent. Lovely spot in the hills overlooking fields and St Michael's Mount in the distance. A perfect base to explore the amazing beaches on the north and south coasts. The kids loved the cows, sheep and chickens. Maddy and Adrian are such friendly and genuine hosts with pizza night in front of the campfire a highlight. Hope to return soon!

Just back from a weekend at Boswarthen Farm - had a brilliant time and already looking forward to returning! Tents were gorgeous - very clean and lots of space and lovely touches. Comfy beds, lovely candles and oil lamps, a big cool chest, own loo - all made it very easy. Showers were hot, easy to book and very clean. Maddy and Adrian were lovely and welcoming, they have got the balance between camping and being very comfortable and a little bit spoilt just right! We enjoyed feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, laughing at the friendly sheep who popped by the tent every day, the farm tour, pizzas and marshmallows with the other campers around the campfire. When we managed to tear ourselves away from the farm, the local area is lovely - Marazion, Mousehole, Newlyn - great beaches and villages. A really special family time and so good to kick back and enjoy the time together.

We had a great time at the farm, staying in the tent and gypsy caravan with my son and nephew.
Maddy was an excellent host and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable.
The accommodation is very cozy, with a clean toilet, very clean shared showers, a well kitted our small kitchen area and a wood burning stove in the tent that can be used for cooking.
Perfect for exploring West Cornwall, Lizard, Porthcurno, Lands End and the peninsula.
Large supermarkets available nearby in Penzance for groceries. There is also a good honesty shop at the farm for daily staples.

Just wished to say that this is an experience which you must not miss out on. The sights are amazing and the safari tents are incredible. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. The facilities are second to none with a daily hot shower just a few yards from the tent and also a toilet for use situated directly at the back of the tent. If you intend to just relax and chill out then you can do so during the day and take a pew on the swinging chairs at the front of the tent or simply just gaze into the night sky of an evening. Maddy, who is the site lady will ensure you thoroughly enjoy your stay and guaranteed to make you feel fully at home. Very friendly and warming person to have around. What's more is you have your own chickens allocated which during the day you can feed and of an evening they return the favour by laying amazingly tasty fresh eggs ready for consumption the morning after for brekkie. The honest shop which is also located on the farm is a great feature and parking facilities are just next to the tents. Located near to Penzance, a few kilometers drive, you have a variety of local pubs and places to eat. The local people are a incredibly welcoming and sure make you feel right at home. I suppose my point is you need to try GLAMPING as this whole experience is one you wont forget in a hurry or regret. Everybody welcome!!!!!! Neil and Cornell

Honestly, how could I have taken all this time to reply to you? 😉 It's not that I had even forgotten, I only remembered when I was away from my computer -sorry!! Loved having you both here, had some really lovely chats with you and so pleased that you liked everything despite being out of your comfort zone. I am glad that you enjoyed the friendly locals, the area and the cornish hospitality, maybe it is time you brought your whizzy car back? Of course we would love to see you back one day.

We recently booked Boswarthen farm for my friend's hen do (18 guests in total) and can not recommend it enough. From moment I was in touch with Maddy she was nothing but helpful, nothing was too much to ask and both herself and Adrian went out of our way to make our stay an enjoyable one.
We arrived on the Friday night and they cooked 18 pizzas which were all delicious and set up a "beauty parlour" in the tractor shed for us and made sure the hot water was on for all the showers they anticipated us needing!
The accommodation was perfect for the glamping experience, the beds were very comfy and plenty of cutlery, wood burning materials and freezer bottles for our cool box which all together made for a very comfortable stay.
The whole experience was very relaxing and enjoyable and would recommend everyone experiences it.

Dear Niamh, Thank you for such a lovely review, it is good to sometimes have a group here. We are delighted that you found the whole experience a good one. We do try to help when we can. It may not have been ideal straightening hair, etc in the tractor shed but it just proves that with the right attitude and a good sense of humour, anything is possible. Thank you again and we hope that everyone enjoys the wedding.

Boswathern farm is a real treat for those who enjoy beautiful views and camping with luxuries. On arrival the children were so excited to see the tent which was fully fitted with a number of extras such as a double rocking chair on the porch, the cabin bed was a real hit with my daughter (aged 4) she saw this as her own room and it was so dark which helped her have a nice long sleep! Maddy was such a great host checking in on us both in the morning and afternoon to see how we are and if there was anything we needed. The children particularly enjoyed feeding the lambs with their bottles of milk and going in to see the chickens in the morning and finding eggs. The eggs were delicious with bright yellow yolks! Every morning we would see the cows walking past to be milked think there were approx 100 of them so it was quite an event.
The location of the farm was great, a short drive to St Michael’s Mount, St Ives, Penzance and many beaches. We found a number of local farm shops and fish shops offering local fresh products which we cooked up for our evening meals.
I’d highly recommend staying at boswathern farm if you are looking for the camping experience with luxuries such as a private toilet (I was expecting a camping toilet and was really pleased to see a normal toilet room attached to the back of the tent which we saw as a necessity with our two young children).
Thanks Maddy for a memorable stay- we had a great time and will be recommending boswathern farm to our friends and family.

Dear Lucy, Thank you very much for your fab review and for sharing it. I don't think that you have left anything out, the tent, our location, the various local farm and fish shops and of course our animals. The local produce is second to none in this area, as you found! Trevaskis Farm Shop has so much to offer and with Newlyn on our doorstep you can get crabs, lobsters etc at a fraction of the price that you would pay anywhere else. I must say, that whatever you were cooking, it always smelt really good. We love having guests stay and we are pleased that you enjoyed what we have to offer here, sometimes it is challenging running a dairy farm with a holiday business but we think, that is what makes us unique - beautiful tents and the farm experience. The lambs are always a hit and the chickens too. Thank you for your recommendations, we always welcome them from guests.

We stayed in the Gypsy Caravan/Bell Tent at Boswarrthen mid August 2017 and had the most happiest of holidays. Everything about the campsite/farm has been carefully thought through by Maddy and Adrien and the fact that it is a working farm only adds to the whole experience. The tent/caravan is super cosy, nice linen, clean and well equipped for a family stay. Having a 10 year old who is normally needs to be surgically removed from the PS4 delight in having no electricity was amazing. Collecting eggs for breakfast, running round in the dark with the other children, bottle feeding the lambs beat any computer game, very little time was spent on the iPad at all. Lighting all the lanterns at night and making up a good fire became something to look forward to. The honesty shop is well stocked and the home made meals in the freezer excellent. We enjoyed a very cosy rainy evening with the tent stove roaring enjoying Maddy's home made beef curry. Breakfast and dinners can be delivered to your tent (how amazing) if this is Glamping I'm in! Pizza night was great fun and a good chance to meet the other campers and the kids love the camp fire and tractor rides. I hope to return soon and make more memories.

First of all, I am sorry to have taken this long to reply to your great review of the gypsy caravan and bell tent. We are so pleased that you appreciated the setup of this accommodation and although it is secluded in its location you proved that it is still possible to be involved with everything that is going on. I am really pleased you tried and enjoyed the beef curry (it is yummy) and the honesty shop is always difficult but we do try to stock it as best we can and try to be reasonable with our prices. Thank you for your review, we do appreciate your time in writing and sharing it . We are always pleased to welcome guests back and hopefully you will all be back again.
