Matt was an excellent host for our 5 night stay. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with free wifi. Breakfasts were all delicious. We were impressed with all the finishing touches and attention to detail during our stay. There was a wealth of information in the reception area and in our room, plus Matt is very knowledgeable and...

Stayed 2 nights at Cornerways and had an excellent stay. Room was cozy and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and Matt was an excellent host through the stay, offering helpful tips and booklets on travel in the local area. Felt very comfortable and enjoyed the stay, hope to go back some day.

Well, it was the third time I came to Penzance, but it will definitely not be the last time! There is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants in town, and you can always have a nice trip by bus or train to one of the great destinations nearby (Land's End, the Minack ...). I always stayed at Cornerways,...

The customer service right from the time of booking was exceptional. The guest house is only a 3 minute walk from the train station. Arriving late in the evening Matt, the owner, was at the front gate to welcome us. The rooms are nicely appointed with a full ensuite, TV and Tea making facilites. Breakfast in the morning ranged from...

The owner, Matt, is one of the nicest hosts you could ever meet and obviously loves his house and Cornwall. However, the twin room is rather small (so if you are a tall man you may, as my Father did, find it rather claustrophobic). The double room however, was lovely. Parking, we found, difficult. We had to unload outside and...

I always come back to Cornerways because I can rely on the comfort and excellent service that is provided here. The house is spotlessly clean and tidy and the bedrooms are comfortable and with plenty of storage space. It is a beautiful listed building that is 200 years old but is caters well for the modern visitor. The owner, Matt,...

I stayed two weeks at Cornerways and it was the highlight of my time in the Southwest. I now measure all my subsequent guest house stays with the time I spent at Matt's. The location was superb since I was using public transport to explore Cornwall. Matt was very welcoming and ensured my stay was perfect. He suggested local areas...

I had such a great stay at Cornerways and cannot recommend it highly enough. Matt is a great host, I really appreciated the warm welcome and also the recommendations for places to visit in and around Penzance. My room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything I could possibly need. The bed was so comfortable, I had a great...

My first time back to Penzance after an absence of 5 years. I needed somewhere super convenient for both the station and the harbour and Cornerways more than fit the bill. Speaking to Matt at the time of making the reservation, I got the sense that this was going to be a great place to stay, and so it proved....

Back after three years, it was every bit as good as I remembered it. Staying in the same room as three years ago - and it speaks volumes about Matt's attention to detail that he remembered that! - was a bit like coming home. The hospitality at Cornerways is truly in a class of its own, with all the little...
