I stayed at the Dolphin Tavern in a harbour-view room for 4 nights whilst I ventured out daily to tackle sections of the South West Coast Path. The Tavern turned out to be a a delightful and integral part of the whole adventure. The team on duty whilst I stayed there were clearly empowered to run the show and were...

This B&B exceeded our expectations, considering the pub is 500 years old, the bedroom/bathroom were modern, clean with unexpected extras like; hairdryer, alarm clock, tissue box - personal touches you don't usually find in hotels. We were in the 'longboat room' which overlooked the harbour and in the morning we had a fabulous view of St Michael's mount. Plenty of...

Have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Dolphin and did not want to leave. We stayed in room 2 It far exceeded our expectations. It was equipped to a standard that would put some hotels to shame.it was spotlessly clean (as is the whole pub,a special mention to Audrey who is responsible for the shining surfaces everywhere) Everything was...

The other positive reviews say it all: our room was huge and despite the location on a main road, traffic noise was not a problem. Super-clean and luxurious touches in bedding, toweks and toiletries. Excellent food: fish locally sourced and delicious. An authentic pub which is very welcoming to non-locals: would highly recommend a stay here. Penzance has much to...

Chanced on this place on a Sunday evening when many other establishments were closed. Cosy atmosphere, excellent service and good food meant that we were thoroughly satisfied with our evening meal. Portion sizes of the main course (we both chose fish) were not huge, which suited us. The sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and clotted cream was big enough...

My mother are I ate at The Dolphin - the food was lovely and the waitress and bar staff very attentive. Our total bill was very reasonable and hugely good value for money. We will be back for sure. I hope next time when I visit I will be able to stay the evening.

We have stayed in this tavern twice now, and it has always been really good. The food is amazing, the staff are so friendly and helpful. It is so convenient for the town, the railway station and the bus station, and also if you want the Isles of Scilly ferry. The beach is just around the corner. An excellent place...

Just spent a three day break here . Fully endorse others comments about the Dolphin. Staff are all so welcoming and genuine , the food is amazing (mushroom sizzler yummy). We had room no 1 which was large and comfortable and warm with a bath in the good sized bathroom . It overlooked the sea. Will certainly return here when...

My wife and I returned to the Dolphin for a meal after trying a couple of times previously. Our previous visits were not the best experiences with regards to the food but I'm happy to say this occasion was far better. We both had a main course only and stayed for a few drinks afterwards. The food was very good...
