The Premier Inn Penzance hotel garners high marks for its cleanliness, with guests consistently noting the pristine conditions of rooms and bathrooms. Its atmosphere is deemed welcoming by most visitors, though the reception area received a mixed review. The rooms are praised for their comfort and cleanliness, yet a few guests have raised concerns about their size and lighting.
While the hotel's breakfast and location earn plaudits, parking and room amenities have drawn some criticism. Service is highlighted as friendly and professional, and while views on value vary, the hotel's central location is a clear favorite for exploring Penzance.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights having booked through the premiere Inn website. We were completely shocked to find out it was new that week!
The parking is only a minute away which was around £6 per 24 hours which is roughly what I would pay in Essex anyway.
Check in process was very simple, and when the machine wouldn't work the staff were so helpful (it was my fault not the machines).
The entire hotel is impeccably clean and tidy. The room was easy to find and genuinely gorgeous. It had the typical Premier Inn decor but was very spacious, en suite was a dream with a rainful head shower and everything just worked beautifully.
They provide you with a few teas and coffees in the room along with a kettle, free view TV, free WiFi (just log in) and a thermostat that you can control. You couldn't open the window in our room but it wasn't necessary with the thermostat anyway.
I personally find premier inn beds very comfortable, and I very much appreciated the second pillows in the wardrobe!
The bathroom was provided with 2 normal sized towels and a huge towel as well.
Breakfast in the morning was very well organised and we only waited to be seated around 3 minutes, despite this the staff apologised profusely for the wait time! There was no need at all for an apology, and the food was phenomenal.
As the breakfast was so good we actually had dinner there as well, which hands down was the best Thai Green Curry I had ever had, and my partners burger looked amazing as well. The chef even came up to us personally and asked if everything was okay.
Overall the staff were amazing, room was amazing, food was outstanding, and everything was clean tidy and practical. I would definitely come again, and will hopefully be staying at this hotel in the forseeable months.
Thank you to Chantelle and all of the staff at the Premier Inn who made our stay enjoyable. Good luck, not that you'll need it.

My wife and I stayed here for one night at each end of a holiday to the Isles of Scilly. It was a very comfortable hotel with a restaurant serving dinner and breakfast, which was even better value by booking these meals in advance. We slept really well and the food was good. Although it didn’t offer parking, there was room in its entrance courtyard to leave the car whilst we checked in and loaded or unloaded luggage. A good public car park nearby or the locked Isles of Scilly Parking Company facility only 20 minutes walk away. The harbour is adjacent to the hotel and it took less than 10 minutes to walk around to get to and from the Scillonian. A big shout out to all the staff in the Premier Inn who made our stay special. Thank you.

First of all an explanation for my poor rating. We often stay in Premier Inns but it is so irritating that in 2020 when decent wifi is assumed to be the norm this chain for some reason provide an inferior connection unless you are prepared to pay several £'s more per night. Wifi is slow and continually kicks you out after a few minutes of inactivity so you are continually having to log on again and again.
This is a new hotel (we had previously booked for April but it was forced to close and we were fortunate to be able to rebook for 4 nights from 6th September. Everything was spotless but it does seem that the new hotels are very basic with storage space, no shelf on the bedside unit, a few hanging spaces but no shelves or drawers. This hotel has very small windows quite high up so difficult to see out (we had only a view of the adjacent property) and it tended to be a bit dark. The LED lighting is excellent so no problem reading at night. No settee like most Inns but only one chair with arms and one without. A big complaint about the TV, the maximum volume was set so low that it was pointless trying to watch anything.
We requested that our room be serviced each morning and the receptionist agreed this would be no problem when we checked in. Returned from our day out on Monday afternoon but room untouched! The duty receptionist was apologetic but the cleaning staff had left so no bins emptied or cups and surfaces cleaned. As there are no supplies in the room to do this ourselves or clean the toilet we just put up with it. Tuesday the room was serviced but Wednesday it was forgotten again. I reported this to the receptionist (the same one as checked us in on Sunday) and she apologised and kindly serviced it herself that evening when we went out for a meal.
Other than the wifi issue we rarely have any criticisms of our Premier Inn stays. I would have mentioned these points at the desk when we left soon after 9.15 on Thursday morning but reception was not manned. A very good 4 day break but a bit disappointed by the negatives. We usually get an email after our stays with a satisfaction questionnaire but not it seems on this occasion.

An utter disgrace given the price, I would absolutely avoid it. Make sure to plan ahead, luggages cannot be kept even if the local inn next door does it for its own customers. We literally lost almost a day because of this luggage issue.
Disorganisation and lack of customer service was clearly felt and visible, maybe due to understaffing. It took almost an hour to check-in because our room was not ready even if we were there on time.
Do no bother with breakfast, it literally takes 40 min from seating to having a coffee with beans, sausage and hash browns even if there were barely 20% of customers having breakfast.
The overall feeling was as if we should have felt grateful to stay there, raising any valid concern will brand you as an impolite and “raising voice” person.
We had to ask for more towels as there was only enough for one person (they rushed the room cleaning so we could check in given how delayed there were). Same for toilet paper, we had to ask for it.
The only thing this place has for it is location (next to train station) and overall cleanliness.

We booked this hotel last year before it was fully open but I’m glad we did!
Even though this was during COVID-19 regulations it still had a really friendly feel with welcoming staff. Hand sanitiser was available and face masks were not compulsory.
Parking is in the harbour car park across the road which is free overnight until 9am (check out time).
Our room was a big family room which was hugely spacious and by far the biggest family room we’ve stayed in! Sound proofing was great as we were right on the High Street. It also had a funky purple light across the head board which is kinda cool too.
We asked for extra pillows and the staff delivered them to the door no problems at all.
A good sleep was had in a comfy bed and I liked the USB sockets in the plugs (a must nowadays really) and the air con in the room was nice and easy to adjust the temperatures.

This hotel is affordable, comfortable and in an ideal location to explore very south west coast of the country.
Upon arrival, our room was not ready. Although we weren’t too displeased by this and made it an opportunity to grab an ice cream after a long journey, our room was ‘up-sized’ as an apologetic gesture.
The food is very satisfactory for the price and the chef made the effort to communicate with us and other guests on a number of occasions during our stay.
The staff have been more than accommodating, particularly the manager, Chantelle. She has made every effort to ensure that we have everything we need and has taken the time to show an interest in our holiday activities at every opportunity.

Just spent 5 nights in penzance, staying in the premier inn.
This is quite a new one on the premier inn list. It is in a great location with a large long stay carpark at a very reasonable price just over the road.
The staff were fantastic very helpful and friendly, and made you feel very welcome. The hotel was very clean and although due to covid you can not longer help yourself to breakfast, it is still worth having, the staff will serve you as much as you ask for.
It was quiet at breakfast I don't know if it was busy that the staff would be able to keep everyone happy, because there was not many staff and they seem to be having to cover all different jobs.
The location is great for the bus and railway station, and if you don't mind driving around 7 miles to St Ives and about 10 miles to lands end.
You can walk on to Mousehole if you're up ho it, just under 8 mile round trip and Marazion 2.5 miles in the other direction.

Central location close to bus and train stations (but did not create any noise problem), and the sea. However, despite windows apparantly facing out to sea, these are fake due to it being a listed building and we are told that no rooms actually face directly out to sea.
The food at Breakfast and evening meals were excellent, good value for money, swift service, and deliciious (esp pizza).
I had a problem with my bed ( broken by a previous occupant) and had to change rooms. I prefered the room on the higher floor.
Staff were generally very cheerful and helpful and everywhere was very clean, and tables in restaurant quickly cleaned after use.

I finally got to stay here after having to cancel a booking in May year last due to Covid. I rebooked well in advance and got the 7 nights at a good price. Although it’s one of the best Premier Inns that I have stayed in I’m not sure that I would pay some of the prices they are now charging.
Great location right next to the railway station and opposite the bus station. I arrived by train and used public transport to travel quite widely around Cornwall during my stay. I could not have had better weather during if I had been here mid summer mid summer and enjoyed a fantastic day out on Scillonian visiting the Isles of Scilly on a very warm calm day. Very good modern Premier Inn room with comfortable bed and all very clean. Storage space for clothes when staying a week was a bit limited. Room was very well equipped with USB sockets etc and bathroom good. Very quiet at night. I slept very well and heard no noise from either inside or outside of the hotel. Breakfast was usual buffet style and mostly provided a good selection of items despite current delivery problems. The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful both on arrival and at breakfast. I would certainly stay here again if I could get it at a low price again.

Sorry didn’t have a sea view so not sure
They are very obliging and I think you would be able to leave your bags somewhere safe in the reception area. I’d be very surprised if you couldn’t.
It’s not to far away , about 10 minutes,I’m sure there is a taxi company that would drop you there
Greatly depends on the the time of year and time between intended stay and time of booking of booking.
