I wanted to stay somewhere really special but for £140 a night this was a real let down. We had a luxury room but it was very small, above the noisy bar with a view of the bins outside. The staff are all very young and don't seem to have any training in hospitality. We were told we couldn't cancel...

I came to Penzance for an extended period of work, and stayed in the Artist residence hotel for the entire stay! I honestly cannot fault this place. First impressions; very creative and well thought out design of the entire hotel! The concept is that each room is designed by a different artist, and I was fortunate enough to have stayed...

The enthusiastic young staff were all totally professional and efficient. Really impressive. We loved our room with its freestanding bath and the great 1/2 price happy hour cocktails and breakfasts. The decor was hip and funky ( or whatever the current phrase is) especially the wood burner and lounge. Very central and ideal for the Turks Head and Admiral Benbow...

Let me be completely frank with you. I like international hotel brands. I like the consistency of service, I like knowing what the standards will be, and I actually even sometimes like the anonymity, and occasional lack of character, that they have. I also love Cornwall. It’s a beautiful part of the world. Try finding an international hotel west of...

Hi Richard, Wow... What a brilliant review, thank you so much! Great to hear you enjoyed your experience here with us (and that your wife loved her cocktail). I'll make sure to pass on your kind words to the rest of the team who will be thrilled to hear their efforts are being appreciated. The small points you also mentioned...

We had a fantastic, beautifully decorated double room for our three night stay with plenty of unexpected extras included. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower and high quality toiletries were included. The breakfast, in a cosy lounge with wood-burner, was the best we've had and we'll be returning to sample the rest of the menu. The staff...

We stayed in the cottage, as a family of five and could not recommend it highly enough. The Rustic vintage decor made it feel a special place to stay beyond the ordinary, the numerous touches such as complimentary nespresso made it a treat. Such great value for money to explore the south west from; to return after a day out...

A big thanks for the brilliant 5 star review, great to hear you enjoyed your stay here with us in our cosy cottage. As you said it's the little touches that make all the difference, so thank you for appreciating that. I've passed your kind words onto the rest of the team. We hope to see you back again soon....

Very nice and lovely individually designed rooms, rather exceptional. We felt very comfortable to stay here (for one night). Kind and nice service personnel. Breakfast was delicious and better than average. Price for one double room wasn't cheap, but actually worth the stay. We also had dinner there, which was very good and not standard pub food.

This is one of my favourite hotels in the UK. My second stay in the last six months and it it is unwaveringly fun and satisfying to stay here. The staff are young, enthusiastic and hard-working. Each room is themed on a different artistic atmosphere. Mine was modern art this time with a mad massive painting on the wall. The...

Hi Simon, Thanks again for another brilliant review! It's great to hear you class us as one of your favourites in the UK. The log burner as you mentioned has become a real favourite of all our guests, especially this time of year. However, after a few glasses of wine it's ever so easy to nod off in front of....

Understated on the outside, L-O-V-E-L-Y on the inside! The staff is amazing - so accommodating, helpful in every way and extremely friendly. The room was cozy and charming - artistic decor - sooo very crisp and clean! The bathroom was huge and the shower remarkable! Dinner at the hotel restaurant "The Cornish Barn" was excellent! Food was sooo very fresh...

Rooms are individual and clad throughout in wood, room had DAB radio, Smeg Fridge and TV - bed was comfortable. Evening meal was marred slightly, ordered a chilled white wine, which arrived sans ice bucket. Asked for one and didn't even get an "opps", food was fine. Breakfast/Brunch was plentiful and kept us going for most of the day. An...

Good morning! Firstly thanks for taking your time to leave us your honest feedback. We've passed on the message to all staff to be extra vigilant in the future to ensure these kind of mistakes don't happen, as of course all chilled wine should be served with a cooler. We hope to see you back again soon and give us...
