Detailed Reviews
Just returned from 4 peaceful nights at Haulfryn/Hoseasons, Praa Sands. We booked a Classic Lodge, which was located in Atlantic Rise, a stones throw from the Boathouse bar/restaurant, swimming pool and reception. The lodge had a great sea view, was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen - just remember to bring your own washing up liquid, dish cloth and tea towels [as not supplied as had been in previous Haulfryn/Hoseasons lodges]. Also, no shampoo and conditioner samples in the bathrooms, but this could be a Covid thing.
Tracing App located on door of the lodge and access to the lodge by phone App [no key given].
The Boathouse restaurant do a great delivery or take-away service from a reasonably priced menu and there is a newly opened shop by the entrance to the park for all your grocery needs.
Perfect location for visiting other areas and beautiful Praa beach only 10/15 minutes walk away.
We will definitely return.

Dear Jill047 Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review regarding your recent stay with us. I am delighted that you enjoyed your sea view lodge and found it to be clean and well equipped. You are correct, with Covid at that time we were limiting the contact points in lodges so did not supply tea towels etc. We are now introducing the tea towels/tea, coffee & sugar/cloths and washing up liquid. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the take-away service - I will pass your comments on to the team. Most of all we're pleased you enjoyed our unique location and will be returning! We look forward to welcoming you back to Praa Sands.

Recently stayed for a 4 night break we would definitely recommend the unit was excellent well positioned and extremely clean and well equipped.
The site is very well maintained and well planned with bins located at a number of places on the site and surrounded so not an eyesore
Staff are very friendly.
We felt very cosy during the wet and windy weather.
The Sand Bar was a short distance and we enjoyed watching the Hardy surfers.
Yes we would return.

Dear Beckeranne Thank you so much for leaving a review. We really appreciate all the feedback we receive as it helps us to grow. We are delighted you enjoyed your recent short break with us and that you were more than happy with your unit and the site. The team works very hard to exceed expectations. We are glad you enjoyed the beach despite the breezy weather! It is fun to watch the surfers braving the extremes. We look forward to welcoming you back to Praa Sands. With best wishes.

This holiday park is stunning, it’s kept very clean and tidy. The lodge we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous, it was a superior for 4 people with hot tub. We dropped on with the weather and were very lucky as it rained most nights.
The lodge had everything you needed, including a cafetière which I was impressed with! Small needs! There was a double bedroom with en suite, a twin room and shower room. We also arrived to a small bag of cleaning stuff and teas & coffees. We took our own essentials such as dishwasher tabs and washing tablets.
The area is beautiful and we took a trip to St Ives, if you park at St Erth and get the train in it’s so much easier than trying to park. It’s a 20 min drive from the site and 10 mins on the train. It’s a lovely scenic journey too along the beaches! We also went to St Michaels Mount which was about 15 mins drive.
We had Sunday lunch at Packet Inn about 10 mins away from the site on the main road. It was absolutely beautiful, so tasty! They serve from 12-7 on Sunday’s.
The only downside was the lack of staff available to help with any issues, which I presume is down to the current climate. We were lucky we only needed help during office hours as not sure what we would have done if we needed help after then!
If you want to use the swimming pool on site you need to book in advance. The food at the on site restaurant was ok, nothing special but did the job. A good selection of drinks and 0% drinks available.
Praa Sands beach is stunning, it was a shame the beach cafe was having work done to it and the shop was closed. Not sure of their plans to open or when it will be as there were no signs around. Sandbar was good for drinks, food wasn’t anything other than a quick snack.

Good Afternoon Lindsey What a fantastic review! Thank you so much. We really appreciate all feedback as it enables us to grow as a company. I am pleased you were happy with the facilities and accommodation. There is usually someone on reception until 8pm and then the bar team can help with any queries after that. In addition there is a park warden phone number in the digital welcome packs which you can access in case of emergency. The beach is stunning isn't it - we really hope that the cafe will be open soon too as it is a great addition to the facilities. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back in the near future. Again, many thanks for leaving your thoughts about the park.

Just had a 4 night stay here and absolutely loved it.
Got an amazing last minute deal for a comfort 6 caravan with hot tub and couldn't fault it.
Very spacious, comfortable beds, it was immaculately clean and I loved the welcome pack containing tea, coffee, milk sachets, sugar, kitchen sponge, bin bag, tea towel etc. So very helpful.
And for the first time ever in a caravan they also had little bottles of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion - just like a hotel!
We loved the hot tub (used it 5 times during the stay) lying in it at night watching the stars above was a definite pinch me moment.
The site itself is lovely and the location (5 min walk to the beautiful beach and short drive to many great tourist attractions) was ideal.
Never got to use the pool/gym/restaurant but hope to next time. Even the whole online check-in and contact free access to the caravan via a Bluetooth key app, made the whole experience so easy and stress free.
We will definitely book this little gem of a place again.
Thank you SO MUCH Haulfryn for giving us a taste of luxury at a price I could actually afford!!

Good Afternoon Myniaroo Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We really appreciate you taking the time to tell us of your thoughts about your recent stay with us. We take all reviews seriously, as we share all points and comment with the team to enable us to grow. We are delighted that you found the accommodation to be extremely clean - the team works hard to ensure it exceeds expectations. The hot tub is just the icing on the cake isn't it? So nice to relax and take in the nature and sublimity of the surroundings. We are lucky to be located in an area that is quiet, yet within easy reach of many of Cornwall's attractions. It's great to hear that you appreciated the contactless check-in and digital key. We are aiming for a stress-free experience for everyone from the moment they arrive. Hopefully when you visit us next time, you'll get the chance to visit the complex and use the leisure facilities and restaurant. We very much look forward to seeing you again! Again, many thanks and best wishes.

Praa Sands holiday park is a quiet, well kept park. We stayed in one of the newer ‘Superior Home’ with a Hot Tub in the new Gwel Teg area (no. 20 on the end with a partial sea view). Lovely clean accommodation, very roomy for a family of five, with 3 bedrooms (though only 4 dining chairs). After finding our feet, we found the location to be excellent to visit surrounding areas, with the local beach only a 10 minute walk down the hill (this also seemed quieter than surrounding places). My only criticism would be the ‘helpfulness of staff’, upon arrival you check in yourself with an uploaded ‘key’ app, finding the property was difficult as the new Gwel Teg area is not signposted or the accommodation numbered (our neighbour had the same problem) and there is no welcome information in the property upon arrival. After visiting the information centre the next day I was told I had everything on email and they wouldn’t elaborate on that and continued eating their lunch. I must admit I had missed the ‘essential information’ click button on the first email as this is not very clear. This was my only contact with the holiday reps as no one visited our property to check we were enjoying our stay, I found this most unusual. I guess it is since the covid regulations but it felt very impersonal. We did see regularly the friendly hot tub maintenance man who checked the hot tub levels etc.
The local shop at the entrance of the park had all the essentials you needed.

Dear Liza Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about the park. We take all comments seriously and use the feedback as a way to improve our service. We are delighted you found the location of the park to be excellent. I'm sorry you had trouble finding your accommodation, we have been waiting for new signage to arrive, I'm sorry it wasn't clear upon your arrival. Due to Covid we are not leaving a welcome pack in the accommodations, rather there is an extensive Welcome Pack attached to your check-in information. I'm sorry you found the helpfulness of the team not up to our usual standard - we are usually very highly praised in this area. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to the park in the near future.

My family and the two dogs stayed at praa sands holiday park for a week in June, we stayed in the Comfort Lodge 6 as it was dog friendly. The lodge was spacious and clean, when we arrived the owners had left out a bag with tea coffee and milk which was a lovely gesture after a 8 hour car journey. The lodge was for 6 people, it had two small bedrooms and a master bedroom with an en-suite which was handy. We had a hot tub on the decking which was lovely to jump in to after a long day of drinking and walking and there was also outside furniture so we could enjoy our breakfast and dinner outside in the sun looking out at the sea view. Every room had a tv and the tv in the living area had Netflix so plenty to watch! Check in was very easy I downloaded the app and the key was added to my phone so when we arrived we entered the lodge straight away without any issues. The site was very quiet and immaculate, we didn’t use the pool and we only went in to the bar once and no one was in there so we left, but there was other bars/pubs nearby that we went to. The beach is a 10 minute walk and Penzance is a 15 minute drive from the site. We hit lucky with the weather whilst we was there which I think made a huge difference, but I would defiantly recommend praa sands holiday park if you are looking for a family staycation, if I lived a little closer I would be returning more often!

Booked a UK Holiday for the first time in a while due to the ongoing pandemic, prior to our booking Praa Sands was on our radar as a good option for us.
We booked an Atlantic VIP lodge with a hot tub and stayed in 2 Gwel Teg.
The code access via text worked for us, point of caution though mobile signals aren’t the best in the area a little guidance on this from the team at Praa would help and reassure guests on arrival.
The lodge was lovely, great size, well decorated, everything that we needed, including a decking and hottub. Linen and towels all provided and spotlessly clean.
When you look closer our lodge was in need of a little tlc, door handles were loose, the sofa could do with a once over to remove a few marks from previous occupants, but I guess that’s what happens when different people use the lodge on a weekly basis, however The lodge was well cleaned.
The hot tub chap was really helpful and polite, I’d also say that whilst we are very low maintenance guests any need to interact with staff always came with a great response, who were very attentive.
We didn’t take advantage of using the park restaurant or pool so can’t comment on those areas, but would recommend the park, for a great stay in a good location near to Praa Sands beach and a number of places to visit locally.

The park itself was great hot tub maintained well and park also maintained well. The staff was exceptional including marnie and Michelle. The lodge was a little disappointing a few things was cheap and poorly maintained. Including some mould in the bath and shower which could have done with a steam clean or some mould remover and the blinds needed dusting along with the skirting board. But overall it was fairly clean apart from a few things. We only ate one night and the food was okay the coleslaw was very tasty but I only saw one chef the entire week we were there I would say that the food could be better and fresher if there was more staff and breakfast would have been great if it were available. The bar needs some money putting into to make it more of a feature and have more varieties. Maybe some more things going on at the park for something to do. Overall the lodge was comfy and mainly clean and they were very short staffed. Money needs to be spent to make more money and if they aren’t willing to spend it then I assume a lot of people will not return it’s a shame really because the staff are amazing and the park and club house have a lot of potential.

Dear Demi Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review - we really do value your comments. I am delighted that you found the team exceptional - all colleagues work very hard to deliver exceptional customer service. I will pass your comments to Marnie and Michelle too - I'm glad they looked after you. I'm sorry you were disappointed with some aspects of the lodge. I will put your comments to housekeeping and maintenance to address these issues. I am glad that you found the park to be well maintained. We have just introduced a new menu which features more exciting dishes as well as some old favourites. We shall be looking to introduce breakfast to the park during the summer months. We hope to be able to welcome you back to Praa Sands in the future. With best wishes We are marketed as a quiet and relaxing park and as such don't offer scheduled entertainment during the day and evening. However we have recently introduced special themed evenings and will have live entertainment during peak weeks and summer holidays.

We stayed here as the first part of our 2 week holiday in Cornwall and to be honest wish we had just stayed here the whole trip.
The park is set on a slight hillside overlooking the Atlantic, and luckily for us our caravan had an ocean view. The park is very quite which suits us as we tend to stay out all day and just relax at night although there was a pool and restaurant an site, also there was a children’s play area and the restaurant did deliveries to the caravan and I’d highly recommend as the food was very nice especially the chicken burger
Our caravan/lodge was stunning, overlooking the ocean with a huge hottub and wrap around veranda. The caravan was extremely loaded with the usual plus dishwasher and washer dryer it even came with complimentary toiletries which was a lovely touch.
The site even had very good free WiFi which was a relief to the kids as we had seen there was non so it must have been a new addition
All in all this is a lovely site with breath taking views and I would recommend anyone visiting 100%

The location is fantastic and is within a short walk to Praa sands beach which is a great beach and a real bonus to have it so close. The park itself is well maintained, wasnt overcrowded and the caravans are well separated which is not the case in most caravan parks. The facilities were good and staff friendly. The caravan itself was very spacious and had everything we needed with lots of storage and it even had decking which we did not expect. The location is great and has most tourist attractions within 30 minutes. We would definitely recommend Praa Sands and would return and we never usually go to the same place twice.
The only very small complaint was the bin area was extremely full and was like this for a number of days.

The laundrette takes £1 coins but we went to reception for change and as they are cashless they gave us free tokens instead so worth asking for that to save money. There was a big box of washing powder in there when we went but not sure if its a permanent fixture or if someone just left it so maybe bring some anyway.
Sorry can't help with your accomodation question as we stayed in a different one.
7 Atlantic Rise has best view on site. Also a lovely modern lodge.
