Pleasant hotel on promenade in Penzance. Rooms clean and very adequate. Building of older style. Breakfast buffet (and also additions of freshly cooked fish etc) very adequate. Reception and most staff very welcoming and helpful.

Let's start with the Victorian or perhaps EdwardIan period when this hotel was built, back then it would have been grand with its wings spreading from the grand entrance and day rooms. The impressive staircase taking you to grand corridors with suites overlooking the bay and if you are lucky the Lizard and St Michaels Mount. The large rooms with...

The Queen's Hotel is fairly well placed. It's slap-bang on the seafront looking out to..., well, nothing, actually. The horizon. The extreme left pointy out bit is The Lizard (well worth a visit), whilst, to the far right is Penlee Point (as in the lifeboat disaster) . Diddlysquat in the middle. A short walk inland is the centre of the...

We stayed here over the Easter weekend as part of a coach holiday. Every single member of staff were helpful, polite and happy. Nothing was too much trouble and any quieries were dealt with immediately. Our room (92) was very well equipped and warm and we also had a lovely view over to St Michaels mount. The only reason I...

Friendly, knowledgeable staff that not only look after your needs but gave an insight into the history of the hotel. Fantastic food, very comfortable family room with amazing views. Highly recommend this hotel.

We visited as a large group for Sunday lunch, having pre-ordered. The food was up to expectations, with local produce all of the best quality. The service was excellent from local personnel who were attentive and friendly. The big problem is that of parking, with only limited space available for hotel or restaurant guests. However, this comes as a recommended...

Location is excellent, right on the Promenade. Hotel is a throwback in many ways, and in places could do with major refurbishment, but it maintains the image of quality, without the price to match. Restaurant is fine, menu is limited but daily changes give some variety. Coach parties seem to be the main customer base, nothing wrong with that.

This hotel is not modern characterless nor is it old and quaint, it is just like an old people's home, the rooms are 12 feet high, large and echo with sparse junk shop furniture. It was an eyewatering £100 per night. On the plus side it was warm and clean, the shower was reasonable flow although the temperature varied at...

On the whole a very pleasing stay and only 2 gripes. The hotel is on the Promenade but my room overlooked the car park, so although it did not have the sea views was away from the traffic noise. The room was clean, large with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. Variety of teas and coffees. Very small...

I stayed here with my Mum . We had a lovely twin room with sea view - perfect for us, so we could sit and look at the view having a cup of tea after a day sight seeing. Hotel staff were very friendly - especially those on reception and the restaurant manager. Food was great - especially dinner (...
