This is now our ‘go to’ venue in Penzance. We have stayed at the Dock Inn once before and dined there on other occasions, when we could not.
This is a proper pub in a working area of the town, yards from the main promenade area, with available parking. The view from the attractive, comfortable and airy room we had is over the docks and, in the morning, we could enjoy seeing the Scillonian boarding and setting off. St Michael’s Mount in the background, Lovely.
All this while we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in our room.
The evening menu is full and varied with , of course, great local fish dishes. There are at least five imaginative options for the vegetarian. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We do not have large appetites and they offer smaller portions for those who ask - - at a generously reduced price.
To top it off, well kept Doombar, a great ambience and two delightful resident dogs,
If Trip advisor offered a scale of 11/10, that would be our score. Highly recommended,

Lovely room, room 3. Bath and power shower. Super comfy bed. Free toiletries and tea/coffee quality fare and bottled water. Huge tv. So well located for wondering round very interesting Penzance. Fabulous breakfast in room with view of St Michael's Mount
Very customer focused including iron and ironing table available in hallway.
Good covid measures.
Parking.
Highly recommend

Stayed here one night en route to Scilly Isles. Such a warm welcome from the minute we arrived until we checked out. Room was great with everything we needed and having breakfast delivered early next morning to our room was fantastic, delicious bacon sandwiches . Perfect venue if you want to catch the ferry but otherwise a great place to stay regardless. We couldn’t fault it. Apologies about the door key, it’ll be on its way back soon and so very sorry

We stayed 2 nights at the Dock Inn after returning from the Isle of Scilly, it is conveniently located near to where the boat docks.
The pub is dated and in need of some TLC, the corridor to the rooms is terrible and needs some decoration and tending too. The bedroom was clean but the overlooked the beer garden roof which was unsightly and very disappointing. The room was also very hot. Our breakfast was served in our room which was a nice touch but there wasn't a great deal of space and it wasn't the best breakfast (we couldn't drink the coffee). However the staff were helpful and friendly,

Very warm welcome on arrival. Room provided was above the Pubs bar, but on no occasion was noise from below ever encountered. Another big bonus was that the room was located on the front corner of the pub and offered a superb view over the harbour toward St Michaels Mount. Room was of a god size and apart from the view, contained a large comfortable bed, table and chairs, dressers, wardrobe, flatscreen television, and mini fridge. Also, well decorated.
En-suite bathroom is of a good size and contains a superb shower.
As a B&B Hotel, an amazing hot and cold breakfast is included, which is served in your room.
Very well located for shopping and/or sightseeing.
Free Wi-fi was provided, but connection with this was at times a little erratic.

We stayed here twice, either side of a trip to Scilly.
Ideally located yards from ferry terminal, on site parking and dog friendly.
Has only three bedrooms, both we had were excellent with everything we needed, huge bed and sea views. Very nice cooked breakfast served at table in our bay window.
Staff were all lovely, and carried our cases upstairs for us.
The bar is also very nice, we had a great evening meal, in a lovely environment.
We have stayed in many other places in Penzance, and this is by far the best, and much cheaper than some competitors.
Very many thanks, we will return.

We stayed for one night prior to catching the Scillonian to The Isles of Scilly. The Dock Inn is perfectly situated for this being a couple of minutes walk to the quay and Scillonian check in.

We had two rooms which were both extremely comfortable. We liked the fact that a cold breakfast was laid up in the room although we couldn't take advantage of the hot options because our Scillonian sailing was brought forward due to incoming bad weather. However the cold options being available in our room meant that we could eat something before we left.

The welcome on arrival was friendly and we were shown to our rooms. They were not doing food in the evening but there are plenty of other local options. We will be back next time we stay in Penzance.

We had a brilliant stay here during our trip round Cornwall. We stayed 2 nights including breakfast and had an extremely satisfying time. The pub itself was unfortunately closed due to covid but the landlord kept us in the loop about this. The room was spacious and had all the facilities that you needed. The bed was huge as was the bathroom. The breakfasts were served to the room and were delicious and really generous portions. There was hand sanitiser placed in both the room and corridors which was nice to see. It really was good value for money and we felt at home here. Thank You very much to all the team there, we’d love to visit you again.

We have been visiting the Dock Inn for a number of years, during our annual Cornwall holiday. It never disappoints, the Sunday Dinner is a must, always beautifully cooked, it’s the best one we have had in Cornwall by a mile. Phil keeps his beers in tip top condition, and very reasonably priced. The Dock Inn is an absolute gem.

Thank you all at the Dock In for making us so welcome, we were staying on the Scilly Isles for 5 nights so we availed ourselves of your excellent facilities on the night of the 3rd October and again on the night of the 9th October. Nothing was too much trouble for you. On both occasions we were met at the door by David, who could not have been more helpful.
The meals that we had with you were excellent.
We will use you again and we are already recommending you to friends.
We book direct which is what we always do. I would say that there is limited parking but we booked a space and it was available for us on both occasions. - No extra charge to park.

At the moment we cannot guarantee parking next year, as the car park is separate to our Pub. There is a carpark right behind us called The ‘Islesofsillyparking’ Hopefully that will help Regards Phil
