We found Chy-an-Mor by looking on here for reviews for our trip to Cornwall and we are so very glad we did! From the very first communication, paying the deposit and to our arrival, it was seamless. No query went unanswered. We arrived by train earlier than check in by prior agreement. Louise welcomed us and showed us our room and explained everything including how to order breakfast etc. The photos on the website do not do it justice as it's a beautiful building which has been incredibly tastefully decorated throughout. We had a gorgeous sea view and the location is perfect for exploring. Just an hour will take you on a walk to charming Mousehole via Newlyn. The bed itself was the most comfortable bed ever - it felt like sleeping in a huge fluffy cloud! High end toiletries were included as well as a tasty tea tray. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh fluffy white towels and dressing gowns provided. The breakfasts were absolutely superb! Our favourite was the creamy scrambled eggs. Plenty of toast and fresh coffee bought to the table. Not forgetting the delicious home made muffins. Louise really is the perfect hostess and despite obviously being incredibly busy, always found time to personally welcome each guest and ask about their plans for the day and recommend places to eat etc. Richard came and introduced himself and was just as warm and friendly. They are definitely 'people' people and you can tell they love what they do as it seems to come effortlessly. If we saw them in the evening, they'd ask how our day was and be genuinely interested. We bought some cheese from nearby Newlyn and they kindly allowed us to keep it in their fridge for our picnic the next day. All in all, I would 100% recommend this truly wonderful guesthouse. If you are reading this wondering where to stay, you won't get anywhere nicer with hosts make you feel you are at home in their home. Thank you so much Richard and Louise. We'll definitely be returning!

This delightful bed and breakfast is in a beautiful Georgian house overlooking the sea and very close to the departure quay for the Scillonian.
We were stranded in Penzance because our flight to the Scillies had been cancelled and were offered overnight accommodation in this charming “hotel”.
The owners are a chef and an interior designer…. A wonderful combination. Our enormous bedroom overlooked the front and was oozing good taste. Breakfast was delicious and started early so that there is plenty of time to reach the boat.
The owners were friendly and knowledgeable and made good suggestions for nearby places to eat. We were tired and cross from our long journey, but they quickly restored our good humour.
A wonderful find and all for a very reasonable £115 per night.

We picked this B & B because of the excellent reviews and I’m glad we did. Only a short walk from the Isles of Scilly ferry terminal & train station on a quiet road overlooking the sea. We had room 4 which was tastefully decorated & spotlessly clean with very comfy beds. The room was cleaned every day & the selection of tea/coffee & biscuits replenished & we had bath robes (never had those before!!) It was also very quiet, no noise from inside or outside. There was a good choice for breakfast but we stuck to the full english for the 3 days we were there which was delicious. We would definitely recommend this B & B and will be staying there again when we visit the Scillies in the future.

Myself and my partner visited chy an mor along with another couple for 3 nights. Louise and Richard were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a fab stay.
Our room had a lovely sea view, was clean and incredibly comfy. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choice. It was a massive plus that there was parking for each room so it was easy to take the car out for the day and not worry about where you would park when you returned.
The location was great as it was less than a minute to the lido and sea front, and an easy amble into the town. It was also an easy drive to other nearby attractions such as lands end and st Michael’s mount.
We would definitely recommend this bnb and can’t wait to visit again. Thanks so much Louise and Richard!

stayed here 8 years ago when we last visited Penzance so had no hesitation in deciding where to stay again. Louise and Richard are lovely people nothing is too much for them. We sat in the garden one night eating fish and chips and as soon as Louise saw us coming back brought us blankets out and cutlery. We stayed in the attic room which was lovely and spacious - great views. The breakfasts were amazing - definitley yum yum. Louise recommended places for us to eat and they were all gorgeous restaurants. You could not fault their covid measures - felt totally safe. We CANT wait to stay here again!

I thoroughly recommend staying at Chy-an-Mor if you are visiting Penzance. Rik and Louise are lovely welcoming hosts who are also very knowledgeable about the local area. They went above and beyond to accommodate us for our stay as vegans, providing oat milk, delicious vegan breakfast and sweet treats in our room!
The house and rooms are beautiful, well maintained and thoughtfully decorated, with every detail considered. Our room had amazing sea views so that we could spot dolphins from the huge bathroom window!
If you need somewhere to stay in Penzance where you can relax, feel looked after and at home, as well as a luxurious stay - look no further.

Possibly the best B&B in Cornwall! This is the second time we've stayed here, both times en route to Isles of Scilly on the Scillonian. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, the breakfasts are superb, and the warmth of welcome from owners Louise and Richard couldn't be warmer.
Chy-an-More is a beautiful Georgia terrace house with a very pleasant front garden facing the sea and only a few minutes walk from the B&B to the docks. Also for just a few £s per day one can leave one's car there whilst in the IoS, so extremely convenient. It's also a great base for exploring that stretch of coast, with St Michael's Mount/Marazion and St Ives only a short drive away. There are also a number of excellent restaurants within an easy walk for lunch or dinner. My daughter and I think this place is perfect.

I stayed for three nights while undertaking an art course at Newlyn. I had room 6, the small double with sea view. On a scorching hot weekend, the room remained at a beautiful temperature and I was never too hot. The breakfasts were superb. I had the vegetarian cooked breakfast twice and a pancake stack with berries and yoghurt. Fabulous! Louise and Richard are delightful hosts. Spotlessly clean, and very comfortable bed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Louise and Richard are wonderful owners and can’t do enough to make their guests feel at ease. This is a fabulous seafront bed and breakfast in Penzance, just across from the lido. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious and the bathrooms contain wonderful products. The added bonus of parking in Cornwall is amazing, you can easily visit at Michaels mount, lands end and porthcurno beach without worrying about parking when you get back, you can also get the scenic train to st ives.
The breakfasts are absolute fabulous with huge variety, between us we sampled full English, pancakes, salmon bagels to name a few, we were also presented by Louise with the most wonderful breakfast muffins everyday.
We wandered back with Chinese after a long day and Louise kindly supplied us with cutlery and plates to eat at the outside table.
I would definitely stay here again when I return to Penzance.
