We had two nice clean rooms and Mike the host was very helpful. Breakfasts were great all three mornings that we were here and the location is close to the waterfront and restaurants and a short drive from Lands End which was spectacular hiking.

Quite basic B&B. Free parking in the street. The room we got did not have bathroom in the room - but had a private bathroom in the hallway. Breakfast offered from 8-9. Easy check in and check out. Ok for a stopover - but would not stay for a longer period.

Nice B&B only 10 min walk from the center of Penzance. Easy to park in the street just in from of the building. We got a room for three on the second floor. Room was quite spacious with nice, large windows. The bathroom however is really tiny (just like a warderobe size). Plenty

In reply to your review may we first apologise for the negative experience whilst staying with us. Having now had the opportunity to speak with you first via telephone prior to our reply and being able to clarify the points you had highlighted directly. Furniture is a personal choice for us - We do however have to consider the needs of being practical, suitable and functional for our rooms & others, whilst adhering to the legal criteria of the fire precautions. The leather straight back chairs with no arms meet with these. We are a small Guest house offering accommodation on a bed & continental breakfast basis with five guest rooms within a period terraced property dating from approximately 1893 areas for accommodation and shower rooms are utilised according to the layout of the property which is also our home. Westbourne is located on one of the main roads leading up from the wonderful promenade and traffic does use this road - If any guests are unsure of location perhaps street view or similar will highlight and allow for a more informed choice of our suitability prior to making a reservation. We were however pleased that from our conversation that this did not affect you later in the evening or throughout the night. We do have rooms at the back but as discussed this was not an option offered via the online travel agents. We can be contacted directly for any questions of which we are happy to provide any further relevant information requested by guests choosing to stay. Breakfast - Having now established it was one of the pastries you were unhappy with and as explained some do contain a crème pat so will be moist and coffee which is always a personal choice again we would have been more than happy to remake this more to your preference if highlighted at the time. We are continuously monitoring our continental breakfast products and strive to offer a selection of varied and fresh produce. Price is subjective and includes a varying fee of up to 18% included in rates payable to online agents when reserved online. If these matters are brought to our attention at the time, we can perhaps offer an explanation, solution or option suitable to guest’s requirements. Kind regards Westbourne
