We are located in the far west of Cornwall providing warm and friendly accommodation in our historic granite inn. All our rooms have been sympathetically restored and refurbished during 2012 to offer an excellent standard of accommodation. The bedrooms have kept their oak beams, exposed granite while also being equipped with new bathrooms, TV and Wifi internet access. The Inn has been serving passing travellers for over 250 years With much of the building dating from circa 1750. We now serve ales and traditional ciders straight from the barrel, so your drink tastes as good as it can be.

about this, and a few minutes later her evening meal was sorted. Ian then let's slip, they had just cooked some farmhouse gammon, now Ian being a farmer, that decision, for me, was a no brainer. The gammon, egg and chips were excellent, especially the gammon. There was a good drinks selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, all reasonably priced. So, with a beer, we found a table and waited for our food. As we ate, we chatted to Ian, Tracey, and the locals, who seem to have taken this establishment to their hearts. You couldn't help feeling the community spirit as people chatted. Yet, we were visitors, and where still welcomed into people's conversations. One of the conversations was about the newly acquired defibrillator, that was fitted on an external wall. And, that day, staff had been trained in its use. We thought this was a marvellous gesture to the local community and says volumes about Tracey and Ian's commitment to the Inn and the local community. Another of this couple's passion, is the charity, blood bikes, which they actively support. Around the Inn, there are various pieces of art, by a local artist, some of which can be purchased. Thanks to the refurbishment, there is a ground floor family/carer room, that is suitable for the disabled and wheelchair users, with the disabled facilities that you'd expect. As I've mentioned, Ian is a local farmer who's family have worked this area for generations. His local knowledge shines through if you need any advice or just have a general chat at the bar.
All in all we had a very relaxed stay at this Inn that has been lovingly refurbished by the new owners.

I would like to say a big thank you to Tracey and Ian for making our stay in Cornwall a fantastic experience. The Fountain Inn is a beautiful building and the rooms are clean and of a good size. The breakfast was gorgeous and enough of it.
The hosts are lovely, warm people that couldn’t have done more for us. Ian even took us to his farm, so that my son could see the cows. He explained the milking process and his stable has a platform from where you can observe it from a safe distance if preferred. We witnessed the cows being taken back to the field as well and we could stroke them.
The location is beautiful and as it is situated right in the middle of the “island” everything has been easily accessible.
We will definitely be back and are wishing Tracey all the best with this new venture of running the B&B, which she only started 1 months ago.

The Fountain Inn has just re-opened as a village pub as well as continuing their B&B. They have new ownership, and I popped by as I noticed signs announcing free bar and free cream teas in aid of local charities.
What a brilliant idea for encouraging people in, advertising their new venture and raising money for charity at the same time!
The new landlady met me and made a lovely cream tea in spite of the fact they were in the midst of building a new bar at the time (the old one was taken out by previous owner). She's really friendly and we had a good chin wag.
It's lovely to see the pub open as a pub again, and with all the ideas they have for the future I really hope this place is successful. They definitely deserve it!

Tracey and Ian could not have been more helpful and welcoming, making us and our little kitty feel right at home. The food was delicious and prepared by them, rooms were very clean and tidy, comfy bed and nice shower with very good pressure. On the final day we had to set off by 6am, and when we walked downstairs, they were both waiting for us with breakfast served and the table set. Could not recommend the Fountain Inn highly enough. Lovely couple, lovely inn, fantastically located between Land's End, St Ives and Penzance. Great memories, we will certainly be returning.

What a pleasure it was to walk into The Fountain again after it being closed to the public for a long time for drinks. The new owner (Tracey ) made us very welcome and explained that at the moment, drinks are free in aid of charity and we could make a donation, which we were very happy to do so.
Tracey explained that in a short time she would have the lounge and bar fitted out and hopes to have a chef able to make simple meals for her clientele as soon as she can.
We look forward to returning to The Fountain Inn in the near future.

Call into this pub after a day out around the coast of Cape Cornwall or Botallack area when we can. Always have a warm welcome and landlady sells good cider and drinks in general which are priced very well.
Will be calling again soon when we hope to have an evening meal there to enjoy the lovely atmosphere in the lounge.

This establishment is a little hidden gem. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by Tracey with a warm welcome, you are assured a great stay. We stayed for a family get together. The room we stayed in was rustic with a lot of the original features still visable, granite walls and fire grate for instance. The room was clean and sympatheticly decorated, to a standard that suites the premise. The homemade food is especially good, Sunday roast is great, where a few hours disappear very quickly in great surroundings and company. A thoughly enjoyable stay yet again. Will we be back? Stupid question really, of course we will. A great weekend was had by all of us. To Tracey and her team, a huge 'thank you'

We stayed at the Fountain Inn for three nights and had a wonderful time. The new owners Tracey and Ian are lovely people. They have only just bought the B&B and are putting all their elbow grease into making their guests feel welcome and at home. While waiting for her pub license to come through, Tracey organised charity events each night. We met many people from the village and had a wonderful time chatting. They gave great recommendations what to do in the area and how to avoid tourists as well ;-)
The premise itself is beautiful. Our room was fully equipped and had a lovely view over the yard. To ensure privacy, all windows and the door had curtains. The building of the old pub was built in the 1700s and has a very homely, cosy feeling to it. The location is great when traveling by car. Land's end and Penzance are right around the corner. The entire peninsula can be reached in very little time. I absolutely enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!

Tracey an Ian are wonderful hosts who recently established this lovely B&B, which has previously operated as the village inn (and as a private home). It has a great central location 5 miles from Penzance, and lovely rooms with ensuite, spacious facilities, wifi, hairdryer etc. pets are welcome and so are you! Ian is a 6th generation Cornish local and both he and Tracey are wonderful hosts.
We noted some old reviews that seem to relate to a previous operation - just ignore as this is a new era at The Fountain Inn. A great place to stay in Cornwall close to local walks and ancients Quoits.
