We stayed 3 nights at the Chiverton during a road trip round Devon and Cornwall. Warm welcome from Alan who went through everything with us whilst showing us to our room on the top floor.
The room was clean with everything you would need for a short stay. They have made good use of the space available although the shower room was a bit cramped.
Breakfast was cooked just right and was accompanied with the usual cereals, fruit juice and tea/coffee. A nice touch was an extra dish with strawberries, grapes, peach and yoghurt.
Located in a quiet area with on street parking. Just 15 minutes walk into the centre of Penzance and similar to Newlyn.
Overall a pleasant stay at the right money and would not hesitate to stay here again.

I have to say that I have stayed in many B&Bs and hotels and this has to be rated as one of the best. The rooms were award winning in my eyes (could be a contender for Four In A Bed - Channel 4) and the staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating to our needs.
Perfect location for a nice walk to Newlyn or Mousehole, and even closer to the town on Penzance. B&B situated on a very nice quiet street with on road parking which seems to have limited access to seagulls.
Would highly recommend this place for a stay. You won’t be disappointed. 😎

We had a great time staying at this B&B. Alan is an excellent host and really makes you feel at home. The room was flawlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a good range of choices for breakfast and all the food tasted fresh. We wouldn't hesitate to book here again, we had a truly fabulous time.

We stayed for 2 nights and were greeted with a friendly smile by Alan. Our room was on the top floor and was fine albeit very hot and the en suite is tiny... the only other minor criticism is the pillows are so soft and floppy .. not the best.
The breakfast was great, you choose what you fancy the night before and you’re allocated a table for your stay. Alan greets you and provides fruit juice and warm beverages, fruit and yoghurt. There’s a selection of cereal. Your cooked food is cooked nicely for you I presume by his wife Sally. It’s a lovely breakfast room. We had to park our car at the end of the road on the first day so can’t complain really and the next day around the corner as the street was full. We had a very pleasant stay.

The owners were super lovely and very friendly and helpful - I wished I could have stayed longer! The room was a nice size for a guest house, with a comfy bed and good amenities. The breakfast offered was fantastic! The owner was really helpful when it came to recommendations and directions and just pointing things out. My boyfriend and I were sad to leave them - he was very happy with me for booking such a great place. Thanks so much!

My husband and I had a lovely 2 night stay here. Alan was the perfect host. We were able to check in early as our room was ready. The room was quite small but perfect for what we needed. It was also spotlessly clean.
You fill your breakfast form in each night for the next morning. There’s plenty of choice and it’s all ready for when you enter the dining room. Breakfast was all nice and hot and tasty.
Alan is happy to answer questions and give advice on the best places for tourists which is helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this B&B.

As a solo traveller, i needed somewhere i could call home for a few days while i adventured off all over the place......this was it! I have never before stayed somewhere quite as fantastic as this. Sally and Alan welcomed me with zero fuss, showed me what i needed to know and let me to get on with my busy trip.

The Room - Massive, beautiful, clean and comfortable....you know that feeling and smile you get as you walk in and you know you picked well, this'll do it to you! The bed is a comfy double, with lots of comfy cushions and pillows and i slept so well. A kettle with the usual bits and peices are also provided. Only thing that could be added was a mini fridge possibly but not a problem. The bathroom was big too, just great with everything i needed, big towels, soaps and gels.

The hosts - These guys are the perfect team! Sally and Alan run the ship and they are a beautiful couple with the most attention to detail who could not do more for you. Always around to help when needed, good for a chat and a laugh and have all the info and advice you ever need. They are the pefect team!!

If you are visiting Penzance, this is the place!

Thank you guys x

Warm welcome from owner. Rooms adequate for a couple of night's stay. Main issue for us is that they advertise themselves on their website as being a b and b and the breakfast is described on the website. We looked at this before we made a booking on booking.com, only to be told on arrival they no longer do breakfast. This was inconvenient as we were with my mother who has limited ability to trek around town looking for breakfast places. They need to update their website.

The room was on the top floor of the building so not great for an older person. The best shower we had in England. Simply appointed but exceptionally clean. Location was close to the boardwalk area and central town. Walking distance to all plus the very worthwhile lands end bus.

All I can say about this place is FANTASTIC. I was reading alot of reviews on here about the chiverton guest house and they was all good. I thought it may be too good to be true but no. This place did not disappoint. Alan front of house was very welcoming from the off set. Anything you want to know about the area alan is your man very knowledgeable. Very clean rooms and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was brilliant also. All in all myself and my partner had a lovely stay. And I will most definitely be returning to the chiverton guest house in the near future. Thanks very much too alan & sally you have a wonderful place.
