Absolutely loved my stay. Breakfast fantastic and staff couldn’t do enough. The bar is a must at the end of the day. Would definitely definitely stay here again. Felt safe and comfortable all the time even though I stayed here on my own. They also have their own private parking, which is very handy in the location . Excellent value for money !!

We stayed here for one night on our tour of Cornwall. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. One of our friends from Canada who was feeling under the weather was even given a 'hot toddy' on the house.

The rooms were very comfortable although room 7 had an extremely small shower and should be avoided.

Complimentary tea/coffee were served on the terrace on arrival.

Our evening meal was excellent with beautiful views over to St Michael's Mount. My husband chose the risotto for a starter which was delicious and I had the Cornish Crab platter which was also perfect.

My husband and I intend to return next Summer to this delightful hotel.

£86 for a filthy room, being kept up by a dog barking upstairs, tiny TV, damp sheets, rude staff and outdated furnishings. Disappointed. However, amazing location in Penzance - v close to St Michaels Mount

Yes lovely place. Whenever myself and the gang are in the Penzance the area we always make a B line for this place. Great breakfast rolls.
Unfortunately, its been a while since we were down this way but with plenty of hungry tummies we knew where to go for good food.

Food great, but not the £60 parking fine ! I did ring the owner who spouted there are signs about. But I just sent the numb nuts to get food and he's a bit dim so I got clobbered.

Won't be coming back.

We stayed here during a roadtrip of Cornwall. We were greeted by an enthusiastic and charismatic lady. She took our preferred breakfast time and guided us to our room. The room was more than adequate and provided us with bottles of water and also a fan/heater. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic! Great food, served by lovely staff. There was, if anything, too much food on the plate. Thank you for a fantastic nights stay and for a great breakfast! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone in the area.

Rarely do I leave any type of feedback/review but on this occasion I feel I must. On Saturday morning (27th April). My wife and I (and our dog) stopped off for a breakfast at the Mount View Hotel. What can I say, the breakfast was excellent. A generous size breakfast with good quality ingredients and cooked very well. The staff were courteous, polite and extremely welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. (Our dog was even given dog biscuits - he wants to go back every day now!). Will definitely be back again... thank you!

Stayed for three nights and couldn’t fault it. Room 2 was immaculately clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. As it fronts onto the main road, some could be troubled by traffic noise, but we weren’t. The breakfast was really lovely and set us up for our days exploring. Car parking is at the side of the building and you are dependant on the consideration of others to park properly within the spaces.

The hotel is nicely positioned and a few minutes walk gets you to the beach enabling you to walk safely to Penzance in one direction or Marazion and St Michael’s Mount in the other.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

I’d thoroughly recommend Mount View Hotel and would stay again when travelling to Cornwall.

For the price of this place and the outstanding service you receive from the staff and the warm welcome from the locals who drink and eat here.
The breakfast sandwiches which feed many a workman and local at £2 a sandwich and the evening meals for around £6! This place is a true gem in longrock.
Doreen the land lady couldn't be more welcoming and I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody!! Cosy rooms at a good price and DO NOT miss out steak night on a Tuesday! The chef really knows how to cook a good piece of beef!!!
