We have stayed in Polperro 4 times before but our first time at this hotel. The hotel is exactly as expected from the descriptions provided. It provides clean, good value accommodation in a central location with a car park too! We also found the rooms very quiet, great double glazing so no early wake up calls by the seagulls. We...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Claremont. While I have been coming to the village all of my life, one of or party was a return customer and one was new to the village. We all were very pleased with the Claremont. We found the hotel warm and welcoming; spotlessly clean and with new and very good showers The...

My stay was very good. The room was relaxing witch is what you want in a hotel. Hotel. It's more a guest house. I can't give it 5*s because you can't turn up after 7:30 pm witch wasn't on the website 😕 what? ? ? Its cheap because you just get the bed no food at all. The bed was...

Thank you for your review and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Our Website clearly states our policy on check-in times and you were sent several emails to remind you of this as you did not give an arrival time. You did not respond to any of these emails and I had to call you the day...

Have stayed at this hotel in the past years, but was a little apprehensive after reading about the changes to the day today running of the hotel e.g. no breakfast or maid service. However, during our two night stay, we did not find this to be a problem at all. Bill and his lovely wife Wancha made us feel extremely...

The hotel is in the beautiful port of Polperro which is mostly vehicle free but the Claremont has it's own car park. Room 9 was most comfortable and the Wifi signal was reasonably strong. The owner is most friendly and has recently introduced 'bed on a budget' which is good value accommodation without breakfast, this proved to be a great...

My daughter and I stayed here for a week during the summer holidays and we loved it. The couple whom own the hotel were friendly and helpful. We were lucky with our room being at the front of the hotel so we had a beautiful view of the village through our sash windows (very useful in the heat of summer!)....

Slightly old-fashioned but very clean and comfortable accommodation. The hotel does not serve breakfast but the room prices reflect this. There is plenty of breakfast choice nearby at reasonable prices. There is a private car park opposite which is very useful in Polperro. The owners are charming and were very helpful with information/advice. There are a number of rules to...

For over 15 years we have stayed here at least once a year but on this occasion we were a little apprehensive returning. The reason being that although we had stayed here with Bill before we had more recently come to associate our stay with the warmth and friendliness that Apri and especially Corina had exuded. So it was with...

Management response:

Thank you for your review and we note that you enjoyed your stay. The whole purpose of Bed on a Budget is to reduce costs and pass these saving directly on to our customers and so far we have been able to reduce our rate by almost £20 per night over the previous tariff. One of the changes is that...

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was great, in the centre of Polperro and just a couple of minutes stroll from the harbour. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and I loved the hotel itself. I stayed in two rooms over the course of my stay having made two separate bookings, the largest, number 11, was...
